Culmination Classwork Week Sixteen: December 4 – December 8 Due: Final Draft of Digital Presentation, December 16 Directions: Throughout this week, you will work individually and collectively in complex
instruction groups to prepare for culmination, and finalize projects. Please, prepare
to be here each day, and complete each activity to the best of your ability. We are
close to the end of our first semester.
During this week, you will create a group presentation, in your culmination CI
groups, to create a formative assessment for English class, which will be turned into
a summative assessment in your science class the following week. The slides
should be written on paper, with complete information, evaluated by Mr. Palmer, and
then turned into a PowerPoint presentation with Ms. Barba next week. Please, follow
the slide information listed below.

Bridge Building (Math and Science) Present the blueprints designed for your bridge (drawing). Describe the sequence of building your bridge, and how it will hold weight, but remain aesthetically pleasing. How many marbles do you think the bridge will hold during culmination? College Preparation Mathematics Describe your math lesson. What will parents and community members learn? Set visitors up for learning how to ask two types of questions (general and data driven). Annotation and Public Presentations Describe learning in English to prepare for math, science, annotation, and public speaking. Use the SEE method to describe the ELA standards used in this process. Present an image for this slide (clipboard, microphone, podium). Describe writing, reading, & speaking. Breaking Bridges (Data Collection) Describe the process of collecting data: 1) making predictions, 2) how many marble, measure, 3) record data, 4) organize data from least to greatest, 5) parents ask questions, both general and data driven. Final PowerPoint Presentation
Throughout this week, each member of the team must help to
complete the eight slides listed above, and prepare to begin a final
PowerPoint presentation. Also, you will use this presentation to give a
speech. Your speech will be used during culmination, to be presented in
front of faculty, parents, administrators, board members, and other
community members. Please, write clearly, using the see method. This
week is not about artwork, but it should be focused on writing
clearly, organizing thoughts, and preparing for culmination.
