Hills Treasures Nomination Form

2016 Hills Treasures Nomination Form
Do you know a real Hills Treasure? Nominate by March 31.
Who are the treasures living in the Hills? If you know an
older person who is a treasure in your life, or in the Hills
community, you can nominate them to become a 2016 Hills
Treasure. Anyone can make a nomination, but the person
you nominate as a Hills Treasure must be aged 65 or over
(or 50 years or over for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
people) and live in the Adelaide Hills region.
The Adelaide Hills Council, Mt Barker District Council,
and Strathalbyn and Milang in the Alexandrina Council
have joined forces to encourage people to nominate their
very own Hills Treasures. A Hills Treasure may be a grandparent, a work colleague, a neighbour or a friend. The only
criteria is that your nominee must live within these council
areas, and be an older person and a real treasure!
Hills Treasures are not necessarily about big achievements,
although some undoubtedly will be. Your Treasure might
be the best storyteller, the best cook or the best neighbour
- or just the one person in the world who makes you feel
like no one else can.
Your Hills Treasure nominee will receive a special certificate
and be included on the 2016 Hills Treasures Wall of Fame.
Outstanding Treasures will be invited with you to attend a
free celebratory afternoon tea in April.
We know the Adelaide Hills are full of treasures. So please
tell us all about yours using the form on the reverse side.
Nominations open March 1 and close March 31, 2016.

your Hills Treasure special? Why do you think he/she should be recognised? We’d love you to attach a photo or a drawing of your
Hills Treasure in the space provided if you can. These may form part of a display at the 2016 Hills Treasure Afternoon Tea in April.
