This was a larger issue, though, which needed the help of parents, teachers, and the broader Watertown community. The grant was approved and the Watertown Initiative to Prevent Sex Trafficking began September, 2015. In collaboration with civic and religious groups, Mother of God Monastery applied to Catholic Health Initiatives for grant funding for an initiative to educate about and prevent sex trafficking in the Watertown and surrounding area.
