Finance Committee Tricia Stenberg and Carol Lee ~ CoChairs Finance met August 1 to review and discuss the budget requests from the committees. Without receiving all requests, it was decided to table the discussion until September. We will bring our recommendations to the September board meeting. It was voted by the membership that the club will pay the $150 registration fee and $50 toward travel to the three members going to the District 7 conference in St. Louis. Finance plans to hold a meeting for those members interested in brainstorming ideas to raise additional funds to attend the 2014 Zonta International Convention in Florida next summer. More details to come. Fundraising at the Civic Center: Members seem to agree that this is a quick, easy, non-back-breaking way to raise predictable money for the club. It has been suggested that committees each take on staffing assigned scheduling so that the responsibility falls on the committees fairly. We will have the 2013-14 hockey schedule at the September meeting so that we can plan early for the year. Next meeting: Thursday, September 5, 7am at Perkins Hwy 169 Sara Sletten ~ Treasurer Books are closed for the 2012-2013 year: Judi and I (Barb) reviewed the treasurer's records and found them to be in good order, with just a couple minor changes. ~Barb Please arrange with Sara, when you will be needing to drop off Fashion Show money to her.
