Analyse the rhythm of the melody given on page 1. In the space below write down any
rhythmic motives that are used.

On the line below write your own counter rhythm to the melody example given on page
one. Remember to share rhythmical movement between parts where possible. Can you
include any syncopation?

Using a similar rhythm you wrote in the previous question, write your own counter
melody on the stave below. Think harmonically, and about contrary motion between parts.
