We are proud to announce our Title I Summer Enrichment 2016 programs. These PARCC Readiness courses are for students
who need a head start preparing for the course and the PARCC assessment (New Jersey Department of Education required
assessment). This is a great opportunity for you to keep your child learning, and prevent the Summer Slide.
The PARCC Readiness courses are free of charge and transportation is provided.
PARCC / Writing Readiness
PARCC Writing Readiness is an intensive two-week course that combines the Common Core State Standards for English
Language Arts, writing expectations on standardized tests, including PARCC and the SAT, and recognized good practice
regarding style and organization of student writing. By the end of the two weeks, students will produce at least one polished
piece of writing.
Location: Lenape High School
Time: 8:30 am – 12:15 pm
Dates: Monday through Thursday, July 11 – July 21
Tuition: Free

PARCC / Algebra 1 Readiness
PARCC Algebra 1 Readiness is a four-week program designed to review math skills and topics required for Algebra.
Location: Lenape High School
Time: 8:30 am – 12:15 pm
Dates: Mondays through Thursdays, July 6 through August 2
Tuition: Free
Transportation Available
PARCC / Algebra 2 Readiness
Student who is registered for Algebra 2 or Introduction to Algebra 2 is invited to this four-week program designed to review and
build upon Algebra 1 skills.
Location: Lenape High School
Time: 8:30 am – 12:15 pm
Dates: Mondays through Thursdays, July 6 through August 2
Tuition: Free
Transportation Available
PARCC / Geometry Readiness
Student who is registered for Geometry is invited to this four-week program designed to review Algebra skills and topics to be
taught in Geometry.
Location: Lenape High School
Time: 8:30 am – 12:15 pm
Dates: Mondays through Thursdays, July 6 through August 2

This assistance is funded through Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. Only eligible schools
may utilize funds for targeted assistance. Schools’ eligibility are based on criteria set by the New Jersey Department of
Education. According to entrance criteria set by the Lenape Regional High School District, the following students are eligible
for the sessions:


All students earning a course grade of a D or F in their current English and/or Math class(es)
11th and 12th grade students (for the 2016-2017 school year) who have not yet satisfied a New Jersey assessment

You have received this letter because your student meets at least one of these entrance criteria and would benefit from
participating in these summer enrichment sessions. Please contact your child’s guidance counselor if you have questions about
why your child met the entrance criteria. Grades are not assigned and graduation credit cannot be earned through the sessions.
They are taught by Lenape Regional High School District Math and English teachers.
Students who meet the following exit criteria are no longer eligible to receive Title I services:

Satisfy any New Jersey assessment graduation requirement
