Earls Lodge
Care Home
Welcome
to Earls Lodge Care Home
Earls Lodge is a purpose built Care Home providing general nursing,
residential, residential with dementia and palliative care. The home
is situated a short distance from Pinderfields Hospital and is within
easy reach of shops and other amenities.
Earls Lodge is tastefully decorated and maintained to a high
standard with excellent facilities. The home is surrounded by gardens
that provide a pleasant environment for residents and visitors.
Our enclosed garden has a Mediterranean theme where many of
our residents enjoy sitting out with friends and families.
“I am very passionate about the ‘older person’ and the care they
should receive. I believe the Care Home is first and foremost the
residents home - we work for them within their home, not that they
live at our work. I expect all staff to treat each resident with dignity
and respect, and this is promoted throughout the home”.
Tracey O’Hagan Earls Lodge Care Home Manager
First Class Care
A recent CQC inspection report stated
a quote from a resident: “It’s like home
from home. It’s lovely and all the staff
are very kind and helpful”. The home
has been rated a two star good home.
Our person centred approach means
that each resident is an individual treated
with respect and dignity. Each resident
has a named key worker and an
individual care plan. This will cover
their personal and medical history,
as well as a record of particular activities
they enjoy and any cultural or
religious aspects of their care.
Residents, and where appropriate
their families, are involved in as many
decisions regarding their care as is
practical. Emphasis on all aspects of care
is the Manager’s primary concern and,
together with the experienced team
of qualified staff, all adhere to rigorous
standards with internal audits and checks.
At Earls Lodge Care Home, we have
an excellent working relationship with
the partners from the local GP practice.
We very much recognise the importance
of personal, individual and resident
focused care. To achieve this, good
communication between all members
of the care team, be they nurses, carers,
relatives or doctors, is essential.
Facilities
Earls Lodge is maintained to a high
standard and is tastefully decorated
throughout.
There are two units at Earls Lodge;
Glen and Dale units. Each unit has
separate lounges both with a television
and quiet lounge. There are inviting
dining rooms in each of the units where
a varied choice of fresh nutritious home
cooking is provided by the Chef.
All the bedrooms at Earls Lodge are
spacious and all have en suite facilities
many with views overlooking the
landscaped gardens. There are on site
hairdressing facilities which are regularly
attended by an experienced hairdresser.
A range of other complementary
therapies can be arranged to suit
individual requirements. A qualified
chiropodist also visits the home on
a regular basis.
The home is surrounded by pleasant
landscaped gardens and residents and
visitors enjoy relaxing outdoors in the
enclosed Mediterranean garden.
The residents can get involved in
gardening and many enjoy their time
spent in the gardens.
We enjoy a relaxed friendly atmosphere
at Earls Lodge with a home from home
ambience. We have a dedicated full time
Personal Activities Leader who works
with the residents to discuss their
preferences - activities can be individual
hobbies or group activities. We
frequently have outside entertainment,
functions and planned trips to local
places of interest.
Types of Stay
At Earls Lodge Care Home we provide
a range of services including general
nursing, residential care and residential
dementia care.
The home has a team of registered
nurses and well trained dedicated care
assistants that provide an excellent
standard of 24 hour care.
The home has two units; residential
care for dementia is provided in the
Glen unit and general nursing, residential
and palliative care is provided in the
Dale unit. The home can accommodate
both long and short stay clients.
We fully appreciate the stress associated
with leaving home to live in a new
location, and are happy to accept new
residents for an agreed trial period at
the end of which there would be no
further obligation.
