DESCRIPTION OF WORKS:
TO REPLACEMENT OF THE CHAINMESH FENCING AT THE MURCHISON SPORTS CLUB TENNIS
COURTS, AND
TO THE ERECTION OF COLOURBOND FENCING AND BRICK PAVING AT THE MURCHISON SPORTS
CLUB BOWLING RINK
Contractors can provide a quote for one or all parts of the Works
Materials (except sand and concrete) to be supplied by the Shire of Murchison
Works Schedule:
Site-works
Chainmesh fencing and Colourbond fencing
Paving
SITE-WORKS


Prepare site for paving;
The area for the paving is 168 square metres, surrounding the bowling rink on four sides;
There is currently gravel in place which will need to be dug out to a depth of 75-100 mm and
replaced with 50mm of sand; sand to be compacted ready for paving;
CHAINMESH FENCING (3 metres high x 92 lineal metres):



Remove old fencing and dispose of at the Shire of Murchison Refuse Site (approx. 4 km);
Instal new fence posts and top and bottom rails between the tennis court and the bowling
rinks – approx. 3 metre spacings for the full 33.8 metre length. Fence posts to be concreted
into the ground 600mm;
Fix chainmesh.
COLOURBOND FENCING (1.5 metre high x 84 lineal metres):


Instal posts and rails. Posts to be concreted to a depth of 600mm;
Fix colourbond sheets
BRICK PAVING (168 SQUARE METRES):


Re-compact sand base if required;
Lay pavers, allowing for cement edging on three sides and a 150mm concrete footing on the
eastern edge abutting the rink (approx. 34 m) to prevent undermining by water run-off from
the tennis court. Allow for 35 lineal metres of two tone border at each end.
