Dear Friends,

Dear Friends,
Welcome to the Temple Judea community. We are the home of Conservative Judaism in Lee
County.
We have a diverse membership made up of friendly, committed, and active families. Our
members enjoy all the benefits of a Conservative Jewish community, including religious services,
religious school, social events, adult educational programs and Lee County's only Conservative
Jewish preschool.
We welcome all Jewish families into the Temple Judea community. Our families comprise all
levels of observance. Some observe the Sabbath, and some do not; some keep a kosher home,
and others do not; and some families are interfaith. We believe in a vibrant, dynamic and
traditional Judaism. We are committed to helping all people explore and express a commitment
to Judaism, the Jewish people and the State of Israel.
We are affiliated with the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism. We are egalitarian, which
means that women participate in the ritual life of the community without restriction. Most of
our families are full-time members. Some live in the area only during part of each year, and pay
reduced dues as Associate Members.
We hold Shabbat services on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. A Kiddush luncheon is
served on Saturday following services. The synagogue kitchen is kosher, allowing all families in
the Temple Judea community to have a sacred experience together.
Morning minyan meets on Monday and Thursday. We also hold a Midrash service for our
preschool aged children and a Junior Congregation service for our older children once a month.
Please join us at any time and be sure to introduce yourself to one of us when you do, so we
may welcome you personally. If you prefer, call the Temple Judea office to make an
appointment to meet with us or with another officer of the Board to learn more about our
Temple Judea community.
B’Shalom,
Brian Simon and Robert Thomas
