PAINTING ANIMALS in GOUACHE
6 wks Tues. 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. July 12 -Aug. 16

An introduction to the medium of Gouache,
an opaque form of watercolor. Paint application, brushstrokes, and techniques will be
demonstrated in order to encourage students
to develop their own
style. Students will work
from photographs and

Conn studied at the Corcoran College of Art and

June 9, Shore Shakespeare—presents William
Shakespeare's Macbeth, directed by Shelagh
Grasso. This most infamous of plays explores the
darker side of the human soul as the title characters confront ambition, prophecy, temptation,

brings a rejuvenating edge as well as class tight

square foot exterior mosaic mural this
summer in Downtown Centreville on
the site of Callahan's Laundry, located
at 117 East Water St. Participants will
contribute to the design, and learn
breaking, adhering and grouting techniques as they create the mural. Bring
a bag lunch. Community members are
invited to be a part of this project and
can participate in a Community Work
Day Saturday, June 25th from 8:30am 12:30 pm in conjunction with the Centreville farmer's market. Other Work

The QAC Arts Council (Council) may cancel a program for reasonable cause. Upon agreement by
the instructor and students, we will utilize pictures of students for publicity, educational, or documentary use.

Benefits of Membership: The majority of our classes are offered at a discounted cost to our
Members. Membership support contributes to year-round programming of events and educational opportunities. Yearly individual memberships are $25, a family membership is $35.
Registration and Materials Fees: There is a $5 non-refundable registration fee included in the
tuition cost for all classes. Students are responsible for coming to class on the correct day and
time without further notice. Missed classes will not be made up or credited. Some classes may be
joined in progress; contact the Council for information on individual classes.

Cancellations & Refunds: Cancellation: Queen Anne's County Arts Council reserves the right
to cancel any class due to under-subscription. Full refunds will be issued in the event of such a
cancellation. Refunds: Students can request a refund if withdrawn by the registration deadline,

Weather: Class cancellations will be posted on our social media sites and students will receive
email or phone notification from their instructor regarding cancellations and make-up class arrangements.
