Beech Elementary Talent Show
Beech Elementary PTO will be sponsoring the BES
Talent Show on
Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 6:00pm at the Student Building of Long Hollow
Baptist Church (due to space, parking, and sound equipment). This will be
a fun night for BES families to meet, snack, and to be entertained!
Admission
Tickets to watch the BES Talent Show are $2.
You will be able to purchase tickets at the door on the night of the show.
Everyone that attends the show is required to purchase a ticket.
This includes parents and families of the performers. Children that
are age 5 and under are free.
All of the money raised from the purchase of tickets will go to fund our
music department!
We will also be taking DONATIONS to help fund instruments for our music
department.
Food
Popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase.
All money raised from the purchase of snacks will go to fund our music
department!
Student Sign Up Information
While we never want to turn a student away from having the courage to
perform in front of their peers, we DO have to limit the show to the
FIRST 30 APPLICANTS
in order to keep the show to a reasonable length. Students may either do
an individual act or perform with a group. Each act must be no more than 3
minutes long and should be elementary age appropriate. Acts may be
singing, dancing, comedy, playing an instrument, etc. Students will need to
provide their own music, costumes, props, etc.
**In the event that your student signs up for an act that involves a song
that has already been requested by another student, your child will be
asked to pick his or her second choice of song for the performance.**
Practice times will be held after school and are MANDATORY. The
rehearsal schedule is:
Thursday, March 2 2:30-4:30pm
Thursday, March 9 2:30-4:30pm
Monday, March 13 3:00-5:00pm (dress rehearsal @ LHBC student building)
Participating students that need an audio track for their performance
ABSOLUTELY MUST bring their music to Mrs. Martino in the music room by
Wednesday, March 3. Please burn the audio track onto a CD or email your
audio track to [email protected].
Participating students are also responsible for bringing in a 12 pack of
Diet Coke, Coca Cola, or Sprite to be sold at the performance! These
can be dropped off at the music room any day prior to the performance.

REHEARSAL PERMISSION INFORMATION
My child, _________________________________, has my permission to stay after school for
Talent Show rehearsals. I understand that in order to keep the Talent Show at a reasonable
length, only a certain number of performers can participate. I have read and discussed the
expectations with my child. I understand that my child will lose his/her spot in the Talent Show
for missing rehearsals or not following directions given by the Talent Show Team.
EXPECTATIONS:
*Participants must be respectful and take directions from Talent Show Team.
*Participants must be prepared for rehearsals (bring music, know lyrics, etc.)
*Participants may be asked to complete homework while waiting their turn to rehearse.
* Participants must attend all rehearsals and be picked up on time.
