The extraordinary coastline has steep hills and sheer cliffs, with stretches of pebble beach and gorgeous little sandy coves. Fishing is popular from the rocks near the old boat sheds and the jetty. It is also a good spot for swimming. A walk along the path from the jetty will reveal the intensely folded rock strata which was buckled and moulded into this spectacular formation millions of years ago. Torrens Vale Situated half way between Bald Hills (H4) and Parawa (G5), Torrens Vale (H4) is now a ghost town. Previously known as Dairy Flat, it was named a township in 1863. In its heyday it could boast a Wesleyan, and Bible Christian Churches, two cemeteries, a general store, primary school, dairy, and surrounding farms. The school closed in 1954.
