Active Assets Account
Morgan Stanley offers several convenient and secure ways to fund your Active Assets
Account1 and manage your cash flow. Deposited and transferred funds are immediately
available for investment needs or everyday spending2 and begin earning interest and
dividends. View your deposits and funds availability at any time by logging into your
account on Morgan Stanley Online or on the Morgan Stanley Mobile App3.
Direct Deposit is a safe and convenient way to fund your brokerage account on a
recurring basis, allowing payments such as payroll,
pension or social security to be deposited electronically into your account. In most cases, this speeds
up the crediting and availability of the funds in your
Active Assets Account.
Direct Deposit.
To enroll in Direct Deposit:
Simply provide your employer/depositor with your
9-digit routing number and 13-digit checking account
number, which is located on the bottom left of your
Morgan Stanley check.
Depositing Checks. Save time and deposit checks
with the Morgan Stanley Mobile App, available
for the iPhone®. The mobile app uses cutting-edge
imaging technology to scan and deposit checks drawn
on a U.S.-based bank4, anytime, anywhere and allows
some of the highest deposit limits in the industry.5 It
is safe and secure, and you will receive confirmation
that your deposit has been accepted.

For iPhone® users:
To scan and deposit checks via the Morgan Stanley Mobile App, download the
Morgan Stanley Mobile App from the App StoreSM. Using your Morgan Stanley
Online username and password, log in and tap on “Deposit” to begin the check
deposit process. If you do not have a username and password, you would need
to register via Morgan Stanley Online at www.morganstanley.com/online.
You can also deposit checks at your local Morgan Stanley branch office or mail
checks to your local Morgan Stanley branch office. To locate a branch near you,

Use Morgan Stanley Online or
the Morgan Stanley Mobile App to transfer funds
between your Morgan Stanley accounts or initiate
transfers to and from your external accounts at
other financial institutions into your Morgan Stanley
Account. You can even schedule one-time or recurring
transfers between your accounts.
Funds Transfer.

internally between your Morgan Stanley accounts
instantly, 24 hours a day, seven days a week by using
Wire Transfers. Wire transfers are another option
available to fund your Active Assets Account, and
can often be a fast way to deposit funds. You must
provide the external institution with the proper
wire instructions for deposit into your Active
Assets Account. To accommodate the Incoming Wire
Transfer System, you must direct all incoming US
Dollar (USD) wire transfers to Citibank with the
following bank routing instructions:
Morgan Stanley Online, the Morgan Stanley Mobile App, or by calling
your branch. The Funds Transfer Service is a complimentary service for
all Morgan Stanley clients.
To enroll in Funds Transfer:
Visit www.morganstanley.com/online, log into your account on Morgan Stanley
Online, click on the “Transfers” tab and follow the on-screen instructions to
begin or call 800-869-3326. There will be a trial deposit process in which
two (2) small deposits will be made into your external account to ensure the
accounts have been properly linked. You can have your Financial Advisor or
Private Wealth Advisor establish these links with your external accounts as well.

There are also daily cut offs for same day wires. The cut-off time for the same
day posting of incoming wires is 6:00 p.m. ET; wires received after 6:00 p.m.

or deposited funds immediately available for withdrawal. Funds deposited by check or funds transfer may be delayed depending on certain circumstances
