What: Gather your friends and family for a birthday party
in the mountains! You're invited to help us celebrate the
Institute's 30 years of conserving and restoring Northwest
environments through education and the National Park
Service's Centennial. Join us for a BBQ picnic lunch,
naturalist-led activities on Diablo Lake and local trails,
Learning Center tours, short Skagit Tour boat trips, music,

The North Cascades Environmental Learning Center, field campus of the North Cascades Institute,
named a “top ten great getaways: northwest lodges” by ParentMap magazine. This hub of
discovery for people of all ages is operated in partnership with the National Park Service and the
City of Seattle. The award-winning, green-built campus hugs the shore of Diablo Lake in North
Cascades National Park, one of the wildest, heaviest glaciated, and most biologically diverse areas
in North America.

philanthropists and the North Cascades Institute Board of Directors; Learning Center founding
