Class Descriptions
Each class includes a 5 minute warm-up and cool down with stretches.
Depending if there is a class to follow, each class will end 5 minutes prior to the next class to smooth the transition of classes.
AQUA CLASSES: (45 - 60 minutes in the indoor pool A or B): See Aqua Class Schedule.
Ball & BOSU : This class is for everyone and anyone who wants to work Balance, Stability and Core muscles. This is fundamental to a strong core and functional body in any sport or activity. We request that you
use a club purchased ball, we are not liable for balls purchased by members and left here. Participants need
to use the correct size: 45-65cm stability balls. Ball size is determined by height, see instructor for proper set
up.
Cardio Intervals: This cardio class will have variety with bouts of intensity to keep your body and your mind
from getting bored!
Cardio & Pump: This cardio based class incorporates various types of movement to keep your heart pumping. A variety of equipment may be used in this class.
Dance Fit: This cardio based class will work with various dance movements with the emphasis on posture
and core. Come join the fun while getting a terrific workout.
Golf & Tennis Conditioning: Exercises and stretches to help enhance your fitness and your game! You will
strengthen for endurance, become more flexible for a better turn, become more aware of body mechanics and
be less prone to injury. This class is for all fitness levels.
Pilates on the Ball: The stability ball adds a fun and challenging twist to traditional Pilates exercises. You
will stretch, rotate, mobilize your joints and work on balance and control to strengthen your deepest layer of
core muscles. Join Marianne and Get On The Ball!
Pilates Strength & Core: Using traditional Pilates movements with various equipment. Feel your body get
stronger while creating the long lean muscle!
20 / 20 / 20: A perfect blend of everything...20 minutes of Cardio/ Strength/ Flexibility!
CYCLE CLASSES (45 mins): Spinning classes are a non-impact option for cardio. The instructor will coach
you to work at your level controlling your own resistance. All classes have 10 minutes of stretch at the end.
 Spin LITE This low intensity ride gives the participant a workout without overdoing you. Great for
beginners or the “regular” riders!
 Kick Start Cycle: This indoor cycling class is designed to “kick start” the body & mind.. Intervals
are implemented in this ride.
 Spin-ergy: This is an intermediate/advanced cardiovascular workout where the instructor will
coach you to work at your level safely..
 Fast and Furious: This is a high intensity spin experience! The scenery will rush by and the time
will fly, this cycle workout will detoxify your body and up
FITTBarre: Fluid Interval Training Technique using the ballet barre, traditional fitness and classical ballet
movement with a rhythmic beat. This is a great option to you strengthening needs.
Sit Fit: Sit fit is an active aging chair fitness class that will incorporate stretch bands, weights, body resistance and other various equipment to focus on strength, functional movement, balance, and flexibility
for adults with limited mobility.
STEP CLASSES: All step classes use a 4 to 8 inch specially designed platform, All levels of fitness may
attend this class. Please work at your own pace.
 (CSI) Cardio Step Interval: Using the step for intervals-small burst of intensity to excite the body
and mind. This class will give you cardio with changes of intensity.
Strength & Stretch LITE: Seated or standing low intensity fitness class designed for beginner level participants. Workouts include stretching and light toning exercises to increase mobility, balance, strength and flexibility.
Strength Training: Deep strengthening for the total body is the theme of this class. All fitness levels may
participate with many modifications offered by the instructor. A variety of equipment will be used.
Strength & Core: Come and strengthen your body and focus on the core. Very similar to the regular
strength training class.
Stretch Classes:These classes are absolutely necessary as part of a well rounded fitness program. Golfers,
tennis players, runners, and all that want to increase circulation and minimize aches and pains will benefit
from this hour of flexibility training.
 Static Stretch: This is utilizing more static stretches for lengthening.
 Dynamic Stretch: This class utilizes more active stretches which enhances any movement in your
sport.
TRX Classes:Suspension training– A revolutionary method of body weight exercises. All classes will build
strength, balance, flexibility, and tighten the “core”. Some classes will emphasize specifics denoted on the
schedule. Movements will assume you have a foundation of TRX. It is strongly recommended that you have
taken 3 classes or sessions before attending this class.
 TRX Group—suitable for beginner and intermediate levels
 TRX RIPPED—suitable for intermediate and advanced levels
YOGA CLASSES: (all classes will end with relaxation to refresh & restore the body & mind)
 Yoga Strength & Flexibility: This class is designed for the beginner/intermediate participant to
increase strength and improve flexibility.
 Dynamic Yoga (Level II) Active work grouping yoga poses (asanas). Strengthening and active
poses are emphasized. Class may include some flow yoga poses (asanas) linked together to create a flow of movement.
 Yoga Body & Mind—This class is for all levels. Different yoga styles are blended together, challenging the beginner to advanced level. The body and mind will feel stronger. Feel de-stressed
when you leave!
 Yoga Barre—A combination of Yoga and FittBarre. A low impact class that uses a mix of light
weights, resistance bands, the barre and a soft fusion ball engaging muscle groups throughout the
body. Special emphasis is given to firming the glutes and flattening the abs, incorporating Yoga to
tighten and tone muscles while peeling off layers of fat from your body.
 YogaPilates Fusion—The classes suit all levels of ability and age, from the complete beginner
who has never exercised through those with years of Yoga and Pilates beneath their belts. Each
pose or exercise is taught using awareness of stability in the joints, progressing from a preparation
stage to increasing the load and effort. Alternative exercises are provided when necessary. ZUMBA:
Blast calories while grooving to international rhythms including Salsa, Merengue, Hip Hop, Samba, Cumbia,
and more! This class combines high energy and motivating music with unique moves and combina- tions. It is
based on the principal that a workout should be fun! Zumba utilizes the principal of interval training and
resistance training to maximize caloric output, fat burning, and total body toning!
Fitness 101 classes are designed to introduce you to a group exercise modality. Our professional and qualified instructors will lead you through the fundamentals of a class, explaining the foundations and engaging
you in supervised practice to give you the knowledge and skills that prepare you for our regular schedule.
Fitness 101 is also a platform for new classes to begin and grow.
