Description
The Arlana brick slip offers a hand-made look with a natural aged
appearance. Its structure and nuances of colour occur individually which
adds to their unique character.
From a technical point of view this brick slip range is particularly innovative
since they are not cut from a whole brick like conventional hand-moulded
brick slips. Instead they are pressed in a clay column like facing bricks and
subsequently separated into individual pieces with a wire cutter prior to firing.
In this way, they are able to be manufactured to a thickness of 14 mm and
yet still possess the physical properties of durability, extreme hardness and low
water absorption rate of only 2 to 6 percent.
Detrimental environmental effects and dirt are unable to harm the brick slips the surface retains its unique appearance as well as being colour-fast.
