Please allow additional travel time. 456 F Ea Since we started the FASTRACK program in January of this year, our employees inspected hundreds of signals and switches, repaired and replaced track rails and cross ties, cleaned track floors, performed elevator and escalator repair work, repaired water damage, cleared drains, and cleaned stations. We cleared the track-bed of a significant amount of debris. We repainted areas untouched in years, because they are not reachable during normal train operation. We cleaned lighting fixtures, changed bulbs, and repaired platform edges. We also performed high-intensity station cleaning. These maintenance activities improve train performance and efficiency while also providing a visible improvement to the station environment and, of course, your commute. Lexington Avenue 5 Av/ 59 St 57 St N •Q •R Av 6 L The results of the FASTRACK maintenance projects completed this year represent an unprecedented amount of work accomplished. Most importantly, FASTRACK provides a safer and more efficient environment for our employees to inspect, maintain, and clean our 24/7 subway system. 57 St-7 Av A •B •C •D •1 Grand Central-42 St to Atlantic AvBarclays Ctr 10 PM to 5 AM • Mon to Thu • Sep 3 – 6 Lexington Av/59 St N •Q •R no 456 - service By completely suspending train service over a segment of a subway line, we give our workers uninterrupted access to tracks, signals, cables, lighting, third rail components, and platform edges.
