For Canadians to recognize and acknowledge the debilitating and disabling effects and outcomes for people living with undermanaged pain every day of their lives. For you to show support for improved pain management by wearing jeans and donating to ensure the Canadian Pain Coalition has the momentum and funding to move the pain agenda forward in Canada. National Jeans Day for PAIN is (or any day of the week you choose to have it) during National Pain Awareness Week which is November 3‐9, 2013. WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM YOUR SUPPORT? 

Your help means so much because:  Undermanaged chronic pain is a silent epidemic in Canada.  Poorly managed pain costs Canadians $62 Billion annually in lost productivity and health care costs.  Canada’s health care systems currently do not support access to multidisciplinary pain management.  Supporting the Canadian Pain Coalition through a donation and wearing your jeans on November 7th, provides important funding for the CPC to move its awareness, education and advocacy mandate forward in Canada. HOW DO I PARTICIPATE? This is the easy part! 

Select a Captain to coordinate and promote National Jeans Day for PAIN throughout your workplace. Complete the attached form and send it to [email protected] o The complete event package will be mailed to the address you provide. You will receive an organizing template, donation forms and payment information, National Pain Awareness Week posters, National Jeans Day for PAIN posters, buttons to sell, FREE stickers for everyone who participates, tips for a fun and successful day, and CPC educational materials. 


