J A N U A R Y 2 0 1 7 the QPCA Saints Pastor: Father Jeffrey McGowan Principal: Tammie Vassou Principal’s Message Excitement is building as we approach Catholic Schools Week. Collections of peanut butter and items for the military are building in every classroom. In addition to our collections, classroom doors are being decorated to celebrate this year’s theme, Communities of Faith, Knowledge, and Service. Our virtue of the week, respect, reminds us that God created all people. He created us differently for reasons and purposes we may not understand. What we must always remember is that God’s will for us is to show respect to everyone. The Virtue of the Week: Respect means treating others as you want to be treated. Respect is recognizing and responding to the God-given dignity of each person. Scripture Reference: Matthew 7:12 – Do to others whatever you would have them do to you. Have an amazing week! JANUARY 16, 2017 "Our perfection does not consist of doing extraordinary things, but to do the ordinary well." — St. Gabriel Possenti QPCA 8th Graders earning High School Credit Our students and families asked, and we listened. So many of our students have been actively participating in two foreign languages from the moment they entered PreK at QPCA. This solid foundation has opened the doors to greater possibilities for our students. Our amazing foreign language teachers, Mrs. Fulmer and Mrs. Alibrandi, knew that our 8th graders were more than prepared to move forward with their studies. This past week 20 students began an engaging and interactive high school level course in foreign language that will allow them to earn high school credit upon completion of the course. Students will have two dedicated language teachers, one on campus and one virtually. Our students are given the ability to use both their iPads and MacBook Air computers throughout the week to master the high school level content. Please keep our wonderful students in your prayers!
