You need to come in person for biometric data registration and submission of your documents.
The applicant is responsible for completing mandatory requirements.
Supporting documents can strengthen the application.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
Cover Letter - Printed from the Application Portal and signed by the applicant.
One passport sized photo with white background and not older than 6 months. Edited photos are not accepted.
Paste your photo (do not staple) on the upper right corner of the Cover Letter.
Photocopy of Original Passport - bio page and used pages (with visas and stamps)
Submit the original along with the application. It must be issued within the last 10 years, have at least 2 unused pages
and valid for at least 3 months after departure from Schengen Area.
Invitation letter from Schengen country/NGO/company (if applicable)
Verbal Note from Malawian Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Official introduction letter from Malawian authority
Roundtrip Airline Ticket Reservation - Do not pay for/buy the ticket until a visa has been granted.
Note: If approved, the visa will be issued according to your roundtrip airline reservation.
If the applicant is a holder of service passport: Travel Medical Insurance- Minimum coverage EUR 30,000/K 14M/
USD 50,000, valid in all Schengen States and covering the entire period of the person's intended stay.
Please note that holders of diplomatic passports may travel without a visa to GERMANY.
If you are planning to also visit, or transit through, any other Schengen country you will still need a Schengen visa.
