Almost 50% of men and 39% of women said that they believed the primary motivation for
women to work out is to look hot, but only 13% of women actually report this being their primary motivation. On the other hand, 58% of women reported that their primary motivation
for working out was to improve their fitness, though only 29% of women and 18% of men
thought this was the case for women in general. About one-third of men and women believed
that the primary motivation for women to work out was to feel good, which paralleled the
29% of women who said that this was their primary motivation. 2% of men and 2% of women
believe that meeting people was the primary reason for women to work out and 0% of women
reported this as their primary motivation.
