the brand name Fuel Safe needs no introduction. For over twenty
years, Fuel Safe has manufactured racing fuel bladders and
accessories for all types of vehicles. Now, they have designed
models specifically for our early Mustangs & Cougars in a
natural finish aluminum housing for a stock-like appearance!
The Fuel Safe fuel cell is constructed along aircraft guidelines,
and features a puncture resistant coated rubber bladder inside
a TIG welded aluminum housing, and a stout fuel filler plate with
an integral anti-backsplash valve. They are designed to be used
with pump gasoline, racing gasoline, or gasohol which makes
these fuel cells perfect for any type of Cougar project! Fuel Safe
Fuel Cells provide the greatest level of safety and peace of mind
you can buy for your Mustang & Cougar. They are available in
either 16 or 22 gallon capacities. Housings available in red or
black powder coat at additional cost.

BRACKET
Literally half my car has come from Mustangs Plus and the service has been great. The car is a 67 hardtop built in Michigan
on 7/7/67 and was originally a 289 2V with PS and C4 auto. It currently has a 1970 429 with a C6 and 4 wheel disc brakes.
I have the complete rebuild Grab-a-track front suspension with a 1” anti-sway bar and the 1” Shelby drop on the UCA and
1976 Granada spindles. The rear axle is from a 1979 Lincoln Versailles. I have the mid eye 5 leaf Grab-a-track rear springs
and heavy duty shackles with polyurethane bushings and the shock plates with the tie downs. I got all the stainless steel
lines and hoses and other brake parts from Mustangs Plus. You guys built me an aluminum Drive-shaft to accommodate
the drivetrain modifications. The body mods started before the Eleanor trend with a Shelby Convertible trunk lid (from
Mustangs Plus) and 67 Cougar tail lights. After the movie Gone in 60 seconds came out I really wanted that look, but for a
while only a full kit was being sold. When you guys offered the Maier Racing parts individually I was able to finish the body
transformation. My wife was tired of the ratty interior so we bought one of your kits and she redid the seats, headliner and
added the humphugger console. I added a Cougar Tach and 68 oil pressure gauge to the cluster and changed the gauges
to white faces and the bulb covers to red/orange and rebuilt the shifter. I’m sure there are countless other parts including
sometimes just ideas that have come from Mustangs Plus to make my dream come true. Thanks for the dedication to the
hobby, the innovation, the friendly service and the Restomod shop for all you guys do!!!
