Many team members and ministry staff are asking the question,
“How do I coach the senior pastor?”
This workshop is designed to provide participants with practical,
proven coaching skills, techniques, and insights that will enable
them to coach upward.
Participants will learn common shifts and distinctions and
powerful questions when coaching upward.
The role of trusted advisor and strategic partner will also be
explored.

J. Val Hastings, MCC, is the founder and
president of Coaching4Clergy, which offers
coach-specific training for pastors, church leaders
and coaches. Val has a global vision of providing
coaching and coach training to all of today’s
spiritual leaders. Val is also the founder of
Coaching4BusinessLeaders.
He brings a rich diversity and depth to his coaching
and coach training. This richness includes 20+
years as an ordained United Methodist pastor. Val
also has extensive training and expertise in Change
and Transition Management. In addition, he has
coached more than 3,500 pastors, denominational
leaders, and church leaders.



Encourage the Sr. Pastor to
