Remember which side you took on Monday? Using your book, find a
quote to support your opinion. You are finding textual evidence to
support your opinion. Remember, this makes the writing process next
week MUCH easier!

• Review & discuss ACT IV & V (page 1258 in your literature book).
• Work on ALL study guide questions with your seat partner. This is
the last day I will give you time in class!!!!

Directions: Choose three to answer—use your notecard
1. One of Brutus’ tragic flaws is that he can be manipulated or easily
influenced by others. Discuss two examples that show how Brutus is
manipulated throughout the play.
2. What was the importance of Caesar’s words in Act III. Scene I, Line
77: “Et tu, Brute?—Then fall Caesar!” (Even you, Brutus?).
3. During Antony’s funeral speech, what is the double meaning of his
statement that Brutus’ cut was, “the most unkindest cut of all”?
4. How does Mark Antony show his loyalty to Caesar? Provide three
examples supported by textual evidence from the play in your
answer.
5. After Brutus dies, Antony and Octavius describe Brutus as honorable.
Do you think that their assessment is correct or incorrect? Provide
textual evidence from the play to support your answer.
6. What lessons about government, life, and friendship could you take
from Julius Caesar? Support your response with textual evidence.

• Have a seat near your normal spot. I will help you find your seat if you have
any issues.
• Take out a PEN—you may use pencil on the short answer portion only.
• Make sure your notecard is out on your desk.
• Before the test begins, place your STUDY GUIDE PACKET on the chair with
the “STUDY GUIDE PACKET” sign—if you finish early you may retrieve your
packet and work quietly.
• Read the signs on the chairs located at the front of the room for more
information. Tests, notecards, study guide packets, etc. should not be
placed in the inbox.
• If you finish before the bell, finish your study guide packet or begin looking
up SAT Group #5 words (located on the white board).
