Red River Human Services FOUNDATION FOOTNOTES Spring 2010 We’re Open, We’re Open! By Tom Newberger, CEO Special Interest Articles: The sun was shining and the crowd was immense at the grand opening of RRHSF’s “Repeat Boutique” on February 4, 2010. Repeat Boutique is the Foundation’s second thrift store and is located at 2551 S 45th Street in Fargo. • We’re Open We’re Open! (1) • Repeat Boutique (4) • Top Dollar Bingo (4) Individual Highlights: All Aboard 2 Training Levels 3 Just For Laughs 5 Congratulations 6 At the grand opening, “GoRadio” had a live remote and interviewed many staff about the store and how it supports the community. The television media also attended, including Fox-News and KVLY. Both networks ran stories about Repeat Boutique and this gave us a huge boost in the number of people coming to the store in the following days. I had the opportunity to visit with many customers at Repeat Boutique and their comments validated the suggestion box that the quality of merchandise for sale, the prices and the customer service is all outstanding! I want to thank Julie Thorson and Kris Johnson for coming up with the idea for a thrift store in Fargo. I also want to thank the many staff and stakeholders who helped make Repeat Boutique a reality. The names are too numerous to list, but with their support this project became a reality. Finally, I want to thank the Board of Directors for having the vision and faith to further our mission of supporting people with disabilities.
