At the grand opening, “GoRadio” had a live remote and
interviewed many staff about
the store and how it supports
the
community.
The
television
media
also
attended, including Fox-News
and KVLY. Both networks
ran stories about Repeat
Boutique and this gave us a
huge boost in the number of
people coming to the store in
the following days.
I had the opportunity to visit
with many customers at Repeat
Boutique and their comments
validated the suggestion box
that the quality of merchandise
for sale, the prices and the
customer
service
is
all
outstanding!
I want to thank Julie Thorson
and Kris Johnson for coming up
with the idea for a thrift store in
Fargo. I also want to thank the
many staff and stakeholders
who helped make Repeat
Boutique a reality. The names
are too numerous to list, but
with their support this project
became a reality. Finally, I
want to thank the Board of
Directors for having the vision
and faith to further our mission
of supporting people with
disabilities.

By Katherine Olsen
Scott Hagen vacationed to Denver, Colorado on October
8th through the 13th, 2009. Scott enjoyed educating
himself on railroads and trains. He looked for
information on city attractions.
Scott visited the Colorado Railroad Museum and came
home with souvenirs. Scott toured the Pepsi Center
downtown Denver where the Denver Nuggets basketball
and Denver Avalanche Hockey teams compete.
Scott bundled up in the cold to attend a Denver Broncos
vs. New England Patriots game at Mile High Stadium. It
was a victorious win for the Broncos!
On Scott’s last full day in Denver he enjoyed stopping at
a 7-11 store after shopping at Caboose Hobbies, a large
model train shop. Scott also walked through the
Downtown Aquarium and caught a glimpse of the State
Capitol Building. Scott became quite a traveler and is
coming up with ideas for future vacation spots!

Family Vacation in Paradise!
Joe Jones and his family took a week
vacation to the Cayman Islands during
the Thanksgiving holiday in 2009. They
had great weather despite they traveled
during the hurricane season. Joe spent a
lot of time outside and in the water. He
even got to go snorkeling. It was a trip to
remember.

Just for Laughs
WINTER Poem
It's winter in North Dakota
Author Unknown
If you receive an email from the
Department of
Health telling you not to eat canned
pork because
of swine flu...
Ignore it. . .
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At thirty-five below.
Oh, how I love North Dakota
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.
Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll hang around
I could never leave North Dakota
I'm frozen to the ground!
It's just Spam.
