The feasibility of this project depends on a minimum of 10 students participating. Three levels of Spanish will be offered: – Elementary Spanish – Intermediate Spanish – Advanced Spanish Composition and Conversation Earn three or six credits. THE PROGRAM THE LOCATION Study abroad at one of 0H[LFR·VÀUVWXQLYHUVLWLHV the University of Oaxaca, established in 1827. Classes are taught by CCRI instructors and faculty of the Facultad de Idiomas, the prestigious language branch of the university. The multifaceted program provides students with an ideal learning environment that includes a combination of intensive, small-size language classes, culture and civilization courses and housing with local families. Additionally, students will have the opportunity to experience the heritage of Oaxaca by participating in cultural events and excursions. Oaxaca is a colorful, colonial city with a vibrant cultural center. Experience the natural beauty of this highland, historic city surrounded by lush mountains and indigenous villages. Visit the ruins of Monte Alban, one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Mexico, and Mitla Pyramids to name just two. Oaxaca offers a perfect blend of centuries-old traditions, folklore and modern world conveniences.
