Nuts About Nature: June 19-21 Enjoy playing in and around Bear Creek Camp. We will discover what’s hiding in the wetlands, forests, & streams. Explore and learn about our forest neighbors. Wings & Things: July 10-12 From insects, to birds, to flying mammals, many living things have wings. We will discover what makes creatures of the sky so unique and interesting. Underwater Critters: July 17-19 Pack your water shoes and be prepared to get wet! We will have fun exploring our lake and streams. Forest Safari: July 24-26 Let’s go on a Safari! Campers will help us “hunt” for signs of what animals live in our backyard. Frogs & Friends: July 31-August 2 Searching for frogs, toads, and other wetland critters will be our goal!! Will they be slick & slimy? Or dry & warty? Come learn some fascinating facts about our amphibian friends. NATURE DAY CAMP FEES End of Summer Blast: August 7-9 Swim! S’mores! Hike! Arts & Crafts! Adventure Camp: June 19-23 Enjoy our low ropes, high ropes, zip line, climbing wall, hiking, boating and swimming. A fun and exciting additional option for campers who have completed 7th grade and above is to experience a day of whitewater rafting in the Poconos. Option cost $40. Fishing Camp: June 26-30 From casting to tying lines, we’ll start you off with the basics. Learn about PA’s fish and enjoy time practicing your skills in our lake and streams. Habitat Hikers: July 10-14 Grab your hiking boots & off we go. Let’s explore the remote areas of BCC. Upper Falls, the Gallows, trekking to the Hemlocks! Wilderness Survival: July 17-21 Learn basic survival skills such as shelter building, fire starting, outdoor safety and other skills to provide personal growth in the outdoors. Have fun creating your Survival Base Camp! Fishing Camp: July 24-28 From casting to tying lines, we’ll start you off with the basics. Learn about PA’s fish and enjoy time practicing your skills in our lake and streams. Slimey & Scaley Trek: July 31-August 4 Let’s trek around and explore who and what lives in the swamps, bogs and vernal pools. We will search for reptiles PLEASE NOTE: A minimum of 4 campers and amphibians in different ecosystems throughout camp. per program block is needed.
