The Janssen Infectious Diseases and Vaccines offices in Leiden are located in four
buildings: Main building, Ypsilon building, Valerio building and the Cube. All buildings
are close to each other, at the most a few minutes walk. The Main building and the
Ypsilon building have a reception desk. Below you will find the directions to these
buildings. The Valerio building and the Cube do not have a reception desk. If the
Janssen employee you have an appointment with works in the Valerio building or the
Cube, he/she will have to pick you up at the reception desk in the Main building.
By car
From Amsterdam (A4)
From highway A4 take highway A44, direction Leiden-West. Take exit 8, Leiden. At the traffic lights,
take a left turn and follow direction Leiden/ Utrecht. You are now on the Plesmanlaan. At the third set
of traffic lights turn left into the Bio Science Park. You are now on the Einsteinweg. Take the first turn
right (immediately after the Hoogheemraadschap). After 250 meters you will see the Main building of
Janssen on your left. To go to the Ypsilon building turn right in front of the Main building, to the
Newtonweg. You will see a parking lot in front of you. The Ypsilon building is the first building on your
right, with a big yellow triangle above the entrance.

At the Prins Clausplein junction keep to highway A12 (direction The Hague). At the end of highway
A12, take the provincial road N44 (direction Leiden), which will become highway A44. Take exit 8,
Leiden. At the traffic lights take a right turn and follow direction Leiden/ Utrecht. You are now on the
Plesmanlaan. At the second set of traffic lights turn left into the Bio Science Park. You are now on the
Einsteinweg. Take the first turn right (immediately after the Hoogheemraadschap). After 250 meters
you will see the Main building of Janssen on your left. To go to the Ypsilon building, turn right in front
of the Main building, to the Newtonweg. You will see a parking lot in front of you. The Ypsilon building
is the first building on your right, with a big yellow triangle above the entrance.
By plane
Travel by plane to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. From Schiphol you can travel to Janssen by taxi or
train.
By public transport
Take the train to Leiden Central Station. You can either walk 15 minutes to the Janssen offices or take
bus 43 in the direction of Den Haag. Get off at bus stop ‘Zernikedreef’.
On foot
Directions to Main building, walking from Leiden Central Station:
From the train station you go to the exit in the direction of the LUMC hospital. Turn right at
hospital and walk towards the parking lot. Turn left before the parking lot and walk straight ahead
your left you will pass Naturalis, a museum). Cross the small bridge. Walk in the direction of
Leidse Hogeschool, which is on your right. You are now at the Zernikedreef. Follow this road. Turn
at the first street, the Archimedesweg. You will find the Janssen Main building on your right.

Directions to Ypsilon building, walking from Leiden Central Station:
From the train station you go to the exit in the direction of the LUMC hospital. Turn right at the
hospital and walk towards the parking lot. Turn left before the parking lot and walk straight ahead (on
your left you will pass Naturalis, a museum). Cross the small bridge. Walk straight ahead and cross
the road Darwinweg. On your right (on the other side of the road) you will see Pharming Group NV,
pass the Pharming building and walk across a parking lot. At the end of the parking lot, in the left
corner you will see a building with a big yellow triangle above the entrance: this is the Ypsilon
building.
