Sample menus for weekends and summer: A) Saturday AM: Scrambled eggs, kielbasa, Triangles, Fruit, Oatmeal, Yogurt Saturday Lunch: Hot Dogs and Mac n Cheese, coleslaw, broccoli salad, watermelon, apples, carrots/ranch Saturday dinner: Pasta dinner with apple crisp for dessert Sunday AM: HB Eggs, Bagels with cream cheese, seasoned potatoes, fruit, oatmeal yogurt. B) Saturday Breakfast: Scrambled eggs, bacon, seasoned potatoes, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt Saturday lunch Baked potato bar, hot dogs, chili, chips, broccoli salad, tomato cucumber salad, apples with caramel sauce, watermelon, punch. Saturday dinner Pasta dinner Sunday Breakfast: HB eggs, kielbasa, Triangles, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt. C) Friday morning: English muffins, HB eggs, Breakfast bread, sausage patties, vegetarian breakfast sausage, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt Friday Lunch: Sandwiches on wheat or white bread, sliced turkey, sliced cheese, romaine lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced peppers, pickles, condiments, chips, carrot sticks and ranch, slice apples as campers come through the line and add caramel on top, baked chocolate chip cookies. Gluten free bread and gluten free cookies if needed Friday Dinner: Penne pasta, gluten free pasta if needed, sauce, meatballs, green salad, green beans, garlic bread, scoop ice cream into bowls for each table Saturday morning: Egg Quiche, bacon, vegetarian breakfast sausage, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt Saturday lunch: BBQ chicken (some plain), hoagie rolls cut in half, fries, broccoli salad, pasta salad, carrot sticks with ranch, watermelon, Fritos, Girl Scout cookies. Gluten free chicken nuggets if needed. Vegetarian burger patties and have sauce on the side. Saturday dinner: Tacos (beef and chicken and "tater taco meat"), rice and beans, chips and nacho sauce. Churro-marshmallow kabobs. Sunday breakfast: Scrambled eggs, kielbasa, vegetarian breakfast sausage, seasoned potatoes, fruit, oatmeal, yogurt For summer breakfast may have waffles, French toast, pancakes… and will always have fruit, oatmeal, and yogurt. Lunches are standard cold (sandwiches, chips, fruit and drink) unless the unit is cooking out and then they may choose to cook just about anything, from grilled cheese to hamburgers… Day 1: L: campers bring own lunch D: Hamburger, fries, salad, veggies, dessert Day 2: B: Scrambled eggs, bacon, tater triangles, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal L: standard cold w/turkey, D: spaghetti & Meatballs, green beans, salad, garlic bread, dessert Day 3: B: waffles, sausage, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal. L: standard cold w/egg salad. D: Taco bar, beans, corn, salad, dessert. Day 4: B: egg quiche (egg, potato, cheese bake), fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, kielbasa. L: standard cold w/tuna. D: baked potato bar (with all the toppings), chili, hot dogs, salad, broccoli, carrots, watermelon, dessert Day 5: B: Scherman muffins (sausage & cheese), hard boiled eggs, tater triangles, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal. campers leave after breakfast. There is always an alternative option for dietary needs.
