ThreeImportantThingstoKnow:
1. HowToPrepareaniOSDeviceforReturn,ExchangeorSale:
a. Settings>MessagesandTapthebuttontoturnoffiMessage.
b. GotoSettings>iCloud>FindMyiPhoneandTapthebuttontoturnoffFindMyiPhone.
c. GotoSettings>iCloud,thenscrolltothebottomandTap“SignOut.”
d. GotoSettings>iTunes&AppStore>Tapyour“AppleID”>Tap“ViewAppleID”>SignIn,then
Tap“RemoveThisDevice.”
e. GotoSettings>General>Reset>EraseAllContent&Settings.Adialogwillaskifyou’resure.
ThedevicewilleraseeverythingbuttheOSandyou’llseethewelcomescreenthatyousaw
whenyoufirstsetitup,orfirstinstalledthelatestversionofiOS.
f. RemoveSimCard.
Ifyouforgotanyofthesesteps,youcangotoiCloud.comandloginwithyourAppleID.Clickon
“FindMyiPhone.”Click“AllDevices,”selecttheofflinedevice,clickon“EraseiPhone”andenter
theAppleID.Becausethedeviceisn’tlost,don’tenteraphone#ormessage.Ifthedeviceis
offline,theremoteerasebeginsthenexttimeit’sonline.You’llreceiveanemailwhenthedevice
iserased.Whenthedeviceiserased,click“RemovefromAccount.”Allcontentisnowerased
andsomeoneelsecannowactivatethedevice.
2. SoftResetiPhoneoriPad–Usethistogetridofmanytypesofglitches.Itwillnoteraseanyof
yourdata.Press&Hold(firmly)theHomeButtonandtheOn/OffButtonatthesametimeand
continueholdinguntilyouseetheApplelogoonthescreen.Thenreleasebothbuttonsandwaitfor
theLockScreentoappear.
3. BackinguptoiCloud–ForbackupstoyouriCloudaccount,youdon’tneedthefullamountof
storageiniCloudthatisonyourdevice,sinceappsaren’tstoredinyouriCloudbackup.Ifyouever
needtorestorethedevice,theappswillautomaticallydownloadfromyouriTunesaccount.

device)andcontrolwithringswitch,whichwillpreventSirifromspeakingwhenyourringswitch
isswitchedtosilent.
7. PIP(Picture-in-Picture)–iPadAir&Air2,iPadMini2–4,iPadPro–Whenwatchingavideoor
usingFaceTime,you’llseeanewiconinthebottom-rightcornerofthescreen.Tap
toshrink
thevideotoasmallplayerthatfloatsaboveyourhomescreenandanyotherappyouopen.
