ALM Academy
EasCorp’s nineteenth annual ALM Academy features three tracks including Finance for Non-Financial
Credit Union Executives, Introduction to Asset Liability Management, and Advanced Asset Liability
Management. Each track features a combination of lecture and case study with the goal of preparing you
for a fast changing economy and the decision-making capabilities this will demand. Instructors represent
a mix of educators and industry practitioners of diverse backgrounds, and they are sure to deliver
engaging presentations.
You may commute, or take advantage of hotel and dining facilities on the scenic Babson College campus.
Students who choose to stay on campus are invited to join us in the main dining room for dinner on
Monday, March 27 and Tuesday, March 28, 2017. Classes commence on Tuesday, March 28, at the
Babson Executive Conference Center in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
Lunch is served each day from noon to 1 p.m.
FINANCE FOR NON-FINANCIAL CREDIT UNION EXECUTIVES TRACK
This two-day session is specially designed for non-financial executives and managers, as well
as elected leaders. Participants will review their credit union’s balance sheet and income
statement and perform ratio analysis to glean valuable insight into the credit union’s
operations and its financial health; the goal of course work in this track is to empower
informed decision makers.
INTRODUCTION TO ASSET LIABILITY MANAGEMENT TRACK
This two-day program is designed for CEOs, CFOs, ALM committee members, financial
management staff, and other staff involved in actively managing the balance sheet. The
track lays the foundation for developing an understanding of interest rate risk and key
interest rate risk measurements. Topics include an introduction to interest rate risk,
common tools for measuring and monitoring risk, and building blocks for developing sound
risk management policies and practices.
ADVANCED ASSET LIABILITY MANAGEMENT TRACK
This two-day intensive program is suited for financial analysts and those directly
responsible for managing and monitoring the credit union’s rate risk exposure. Topics
include an in depth review of model assumptions, liquidity risk management, investment
analysis, loan participations, and CECL considerations.
