• Rabbits are furry animals.
• They have long ears and a bushy tail.
• Rabbits have big eyes, whiskers, big ears,
and soft fur.
• They have big back legs and small front
legs.

Rabbits are herbivores.
They eat grasses like hay.
Rabbits also eat weeds and clovers.
they love vegetables and fruit.
Carrots are their favorite treat but carrots
are like candy so they can’t have a lot of
them.
The Predators!
• Rabbits have a lot of predators.
• the predators are dogs, foxes, raccoons,
weasels, bobcats, lynxes, hawks and
eagles.
• People kill rabbits for food and fur.

Baby Rabbits!!
• baby rabbits are called kittens.
• Kittens are born blind, deaf and hairless.
• In 1 week kittens have some fur but can’t see or
hear.
• Rabbits can have babies very quickly.
• 3 week old kittens can hear and see.
• 3 week old kittens can eat food but still have to
drink their mom’s milk.
• Kittens can be separated from their mom when
their 6 weeks old.

• their are 25 different species of rabbits
• a boy rabbit is called a buck and a girl
rabbit is called a doe.
• There are English lops, Dutch rabbits,
Angora, Dwarf lop, English spot and
Netherland dwarf.
• some rabbits are small and some rabbits
are big.

Rabbits are closely related to hares.
They live for about a year in the wild.
Rabbits are mammals.
Some of their ears are tiny, huge, floppy, straight or
pointed.
• Small rabbits can weigh as little as 2 pounds.
• Large rabbits can weigh up to 22 pounds.
• larger rabbits are more quiet than smaller rabbits.

• Rabbits have five toes on their front paws.
• They have 4 toes on their back paws.
• A danger signal is when an adult thumps
it’s back foot.
Rabbits Teeth
• Rabbits have strong back teeth to grind
food.
• Their front teeth will keep growing all it’s
life.
• Rabbits have long front teeth to grasp
food.
