SPRING HALF TERM
th
Monday 13 February to Friday
th
17 February 2017
When dropping off or
collecting your child from
school if you are in a vehicle
please take a moment to
think about the health of
your child and their friends
as well as the environment
and switch of your car when
stationary - many thanks for
your support in this matter.
Belated Happy New Year to you all.
In our first assembly this year we remembered memories of
Christmas past through looking at photos of the many wonderful
events at the end of last term. We then thought about the year
ahead whilst watching the London New Year fireworks on the big
screen. Our shared New Year resolution is to focus on being kind
and respectful to one another which, along with the Kilmorie child
qualities, is integral to the ethos of Kilmorie. This is reflected in the
Kilmorie school rules which are:
In school we expect all members of the school community to:
•
•
•
•
Show respect, care and consideration to all
Promote good learning behaviour
Challenge unacceptable, unkind behaviour
Care for our school environment
Best wishes
Liz

ENRICHMENT CLUBS All clubs started on Monday 9th January.
Following is a reminder of some of the information:
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
There will be 10 weeks of activities this Spring Term
All children must be signed out when collected from clubs
Written permission is required for older KS2 children to
walk home independently
If you no longer wish for your child to attend, please inform
the office so that the space can be offered to another child
Please inform the office if your child is not going to attend
for any reason
Children attending activities are expected to behave
appropriately
You will be notified by phone or text if the club is cancelled
Your contact details will be passed to external tutors in the
event of non-payment or an emergency
The allocations will be added to Parent Pay by the end of
this week and all club payments will be due by Monday 23rd
January. We would appreciate prompt settlement.
Please also note that whilst we do our best, we cannot guarantee
that children will get places for all the clubs they request. We do
ensure every child that has applied is allocated one club before
we offer further clubs. This may not always be their first choice.
We also cannot guarantee that children can continue with the
same clubs each term if the clubs are very over-subscribed. It is
important to keep a broad offer of clubs and we have to be fair in
allocating places so that children have the opportunity to try a
variety of activities.
