Call No. FHL1929867: 1739-Nov 20 (p. 237) Richard Fouracres of Southfarnham Parish
being presented by the Grand Jury for not frequenting his parish church according to
law. The said Fouracres is summoned to appear at the next court to be held for this
county to answer the said presentment.
1739-Dec 19: (p. 268) Richard Fouracres of Southfarnham Parish being presented by
the Grand Jury last Court for not frequenting his parish church according to law and
being summoned and failing to appear and answer the said presentment is thereby
fined five shillings or 50 pounds of tobacco which he is ordered to pay to the church
warden of the said parish. Vol. 12 (1740-1741)
1740-May 20: (p. 10) Richard Foreakers of Southfarnham Parish being presented by
the Grand Jury for not frequenting his parish according to law, it is therefore ordered
that the sheriff do summon the said Richard to appear at next court to answer the said
presentment.
1740-July 15 (p. 38) Richard Foreaker of Southfarnham Parish being summoned and
failing to appear and answer the presentment of the Grand Jury against him is

200 pounds of tobacco for attending eight days as an evidence for our Sovereign Lord
the King against Joseph Domillo.
1743-June 22: (p. 202) It is ordered that Joseph Domillo do pay unto Richard Fouracres
325 pounds of tobacco for attending thirteen days as an evidence for our sovereign
Lord the King against him memo that this is in full for the former order attained about
the same.
1745-Feb 18: p. 199: Matthew Siveley; also p. 200 1745-March 18: (p. 214) Richard
Four Acres against Thomas St. John. Petition by amount for pounds 1.6.6 current
money. Cavan Dulaney, attorney for Richard. Richard to recover one pounds 6 shillings
and 6 pence plus his costs. It is ordered that Richard Fouracres do pay unto Charles
Burnett 100 pounds of tobacco for attending four days as evidence for him against
Thomas St. John. It is ordered that Richard Fouracres do pay unto Ann Burnett 100
pounds of nett tobacco for attending four days as evidence for him against Thomas St.

1746-Nov 18: (p. 338) Hannah Fouracres of Southfarnham Parish for retailing liquors
contrary to law on the 31st of July. p. 339: Hannah Fouracres of Southfarnham Parish
be presented by the Grand Jury for retailing liquors contrary to law the 31st day of July.
It is therefore ordered that the sheriff do summon the said Hannah to appear at the
next court to answer the said presentment.
1746-Mar 17 (p. 376) Hannah Fouracres of Southfarnham Parish being presented by
the Grand Jury for retailing of liquors contrary to law the 31st day of July and not
appearing, she is therefore ordered to pay the church warden of the said parish the
sum of five shillings current money or 50 pounds of tobacco and if she shall refuse to
make immediate payment or give security for the payment thereof at the laying of the
next parish levy, it is ordered that the sheriff do levy the same upon the goods and
chattels of the said Hannah and if no goods and chattels of the said Hannah can be
found thereon to levy the same that then she shall have and receive ten lashes on her
bare back well laid on.
1746-Mar 18 (p. 393) John Lewis. 1747-May 19 (p. 410-411: John Moore,
administrator of Thomas Moore, deceased against Joseph Demillo: trespass: The case:
Joseph is not guilty of his certain promise and assumption aforesaid as the said Joseph
in pleading hath alledge (sic) therefore it is considered that the said John take nothing
by his bill but for his false clamour be in mercy and that the said Joseph go therefore
without delay by the court here it is further considered that the said Joseph recover
against the said John his costs by him about his defense in his behalf. Sustained and
the said Joseph Demillo do pay unto Hannah Foreacres 25 pounds of tobacco for
attending one day as an evidence for him at the suit of John Moore, administrator of
Thomas Moore, deceased.

absenting themselves from their parish church one month within two months last past.
p. 119: Richard Foreacres of Southfarnham Parish being presented by the Grand Jury
for not frequenting his parish once in one month within two months last past. It is
therefore ordered that the sheriff summon the said Richard to appear at next court to
answer the presentment. p. 149: Richard Foreacres of the same parish for absenting

the said Richard by his attorney, John Martin, and the said Thomas by James Jones, his
attorney and on the motion of the said Thomas, time is given him til the next court to
be held for this county to impart and then to answer the bill. 1750-March 21: (p.
289/290) Richard Fouracres against Thomas Barker. In case. Thomas denies the charge
by his attorney. Richard maintains his charge. Remanded to next court.
