What better way to spend the first week of summer break than at Horizon Camp.
Campers participate in a wide variety of games and activities to keep them actively
engaged the whole day. Activities will include arts and crafts, sports, and other fun
group games with plenty of space for us to explore at City Park and Candler Fields.

Learn the basics of baton or develop

Jr. Lifeguard CAMP

Campers will complete parts of the
American Red Cross Lifeguard, AED, and
Basic First Aid Training. Gain experience,
aiding in pool operation, monitoring and
assisting in swim instruction. Campers are
not pool guarding during camp.

Join us in an apocalyptic future, where
earth has been ravaged by a series of
natural disasters. Solve challenges such
as building a city on a series of islands,
escaping from a bunker on Mt. Everest,
and even building a rocket to land on

AIR AND SPACE CAMP

Ages 6-12
Learn about the Earth’s atmosphere,
climate, and space. Campers will visit
observatories and the centers where
astronomers work. Travel to places like
the Observatory at the University of North
Georgia, Fernbank Science Museum,
and the Gainesville Airport to learn all
we can in this camp of altitude.

Get a jump on the competition.
Hitting, pitching, fielding, base running,
and catching will be covered. Campers
need to bring glove, bat, water bottle
and small snack. Register by 5/26.

Registration Forms
Certain camps may require different
registration forms depending on the
amount of time and travel your child is in
our care. Please refer to www.gainesville.
org/camps for appropriate forms. When
choosing to register online, please print,
complete and return corresponding
forms before first day of camp.
Resident vs Non Resident Fees
The cost of supplying programs and
services are paid for primarily with city tax
dollars. Therefore, persons residing within
the city limits of Gainesville on property
taxed by the city will receive a discount
on programs. Fees are listed as R/NR.
Financial Aid for camps
Financial assistance, through our Children
At Play Fund, is available for qualified
applicants. Specialty and Travel Camps
are excluded. Please contact our front
desk staff at 770.531.2680 for information
on the qualifications and the application
process. Restrictions apply.

Discovery Day Camp
Discounts available
1. Sibling Discount – Full price paid for
one child and every sibling after that will
discount $7 from their camp fee. Sibling
Discount is in effect until 5pm Friday.
2. Early Bird Discount – Register before
midnight Wednesday and receive $5 off
of that session. Early bird Discount does
not apply after the open of business
Thursday morning.
3. Combining Discounts is allowed.
4. Discounts will not be offered to campers
paying a late fee.
5) Discounts do not apply to participants
receiving subsidized funding.
LATE PICK UP PENALTIES
Penalties incurred for late pick-up.
Cancellations
Camps may be canceled if minimum
registration is not met. Participants will
be notified of any cancellations at time
of registration deadline. You may apply
paid fees to another program or receive
a full refund.
If space is available, any registration after
the deadline will result in a late fee of $15.
