APPLICATION FOR SWIMMING CLASSES – BEAU SEJOUR SWIM SCHOOL
Thank you for your enquiry regarding children’s swimming lessons. Please find enclosed an
application form which should be completed and returned to the address above.
Adult and Child – Discovery Duckling weekday classes are designed to introduce very young
children from 5 months to 3 years of age and their parents, to the pleasures of the water. The children
are grouped according to age and classes are each weekday during school term time and during
school hours.
Adult and Child – Discovery Duckling Saturday Classes – Saturday afternoon classes for working
Mums and Dads with their baby/preschool child who have not been able to attend our sessions
previously due to work commitments.
Preschool – Little Paddlers classes provide a gentle introduction to swimming for children aged from
3 years to school age. With small classes of no more than 5 children, the aim is to develop water
confidence and introduce basic water skills leading to swimming unaided. Classes are on weekdays
during school term time and during school hours.
After School Programme is for those children in full time education and suitable for all abilities. The
Swim School follows the Amateur Swimming Association’s Learn to Swim Pathway with children
grouped according to ability. Classes are held after school hours and on Saturday mornings. (Classes
are also held at Forest school on Thursdays, but only children registered at Forest school may attend)
Beau Sejour Barracudas - the Barracudas are the competitive squads currently sponsored by
Specsavers. Entry is by assessment only usually via the Swim School. The Barracudas follow a
comprehensive training programme leading to success at Island, Channel Island, County, Regional
and National level.
Swim 21 Accreditation - the Swim School has received Swim 21 Accreditation from the sport’s
governing body – The Amateur Swimming Association. This means that we are dedicated to creating
the best possible swimming lesson experience. It is your guarantee of quality provision for your child.
We are proud to be the only swimming lesson provider in the Island with this accolade. Our Swim
School teachers are ASA qualified, in addition to holding the National Rescue Award for Swimming
Teachers and Coaches.
If you are applying for lessons for very young members (Adult and Child and Preschool) we
recommend that you also make an application, without commitment, for the Preschool and After
School programmes at this stage.
While we will do our very best to offer you a place immediately, due to the popularity of our classes,
there may be a small wait, however, as soon as a vacancy occurs we will contact you to offer a place.
