Q: Where is your new theatre going to be
located?
Q: What types of films will you be showing?
Q: What kind of theatre experience do Lake
Tahoe moviegoers have in store?
Q: Is that popcorn I’m smelling?
A: My intention is to show all first run
movies. I also intend to give smaller films
an opportunity to play.
A: The theatre is in The Shops at Heavenly
Village, right next to the parking garage.
A: We’re offering fresh-popped popcorn with
real dairy butter.
A: The best in the business. We’re proud to
say we’re a THX Certified Cinema. This
means we meet the most stringent standards
in the business. You’d have to drive two
hours to find another theatre that has it.
Q: So what’s your background?
A: I’ve been continuously involved in the
motion picture industry for 34 years.
Believe it or not, I started as an usher.
Currently, I own and manage a number of
theatres in the Central Coast area.
Q: Exactly what does THX Certified mean?
A: It means we’ve been designed and tested to
ensure excellence in areas like background
noise, room acoustics, image quality, projection and Dolby Digital Sound. Plus our
sightlines make every seat the “best seat in
the house”. Imagine how nice it’s going to
be to enjoy quiet moments in a film without
hearing the battle scene next door.
Q: Why Lake Tahoe?
A: It’s one of my favorite spots on earth and
I want to offer people a choice. Plus a
wonderfully elevated theatre experience.
I think you’re going to be pleasantly
surprised at our quality.
It’s vastly more expensive to build this
kind of theatre. But if you love movies,
you’re not going to believe what’s in store.
It’s the ultimate cinematic experience.
I’m also quite community minded and look
forward to making my theatres available to
schools and charitable organizations.
Q: When do you plan to open?
Q: How many theatres will there be?
A: Our target date is the end of August.
A: Eight - two large, two medium and four
small.
Q: What about parking?
A: You’ll get three hours of validated parking
at the city’s parking structure.
