1. Mr. Reynolds opened the meeting and reviewed the agenda. Ms. Mooney performed roll call.
2. The Load Analysis Subcommittee reviewed and approved the draft minutes from the November 30,
2015 meeting. Minutes will be posted as final.
2016 Load Forecast Development
3. Action Items from November 30 LAS meeting
Mr. Gledhill reviewed materials in response to questions raised at the November 30th LAS meeting. The
action items included showing the RTO Mean Percent Error results, backcasting results using EER and
SEER, posting the Cooling Equipment index data based on SEER, and the MW impact of using EER in the
forecast.
4. Action Items related to distributed solar generation
Ms. Cummings reviewed why and how PJM is incorporating distributed solar generation in the forecast.
She described that PJM will be using a two-step approach to address distributed solar PV generation (aka
BtM solar generation) in the PJM Load Forecast which includes back-casting existing estimates and then
using a forecast of BtM solar capacity from IHS.
5. Load Forecast Adjustments
PJM reviewed proposed adjustments to the load forecast model to be included in the 2016 load forecast.
The adjustments for Dominion and First Energy were reviewed.
