Did you load Bosch Recording Station software as a Recorder and not a Remote
Station?
Here are the instructions to change your PC from a BRS Recorder to a BRS Remote Station. The process to remove the
BRS Recorder application and replace it with the BRS Remote Station application is as follows but may be slightly
different depending on the operating system of your computer. This guide was created using Windows7.
Step 1: Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs> remove BRS
Step 2: Once the uninstall of BRS is complete, Restart your PC.
Step 3: Search for the “RegEdit” program in the Windows search bar by clicking on the Windows icon at the bottom left of
your desktop:
Step 4: Click on the “RegEdit” program and delete the registry keys listed below. WARNING: DO NOT delete any other
RegKeys not listed below. These can be found in the “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE” > “SOFTWARE” folder
Registry keys to delete:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Bosch Security Systems/Bosch Recording Station
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Bosch Security Systems/NetLimiter
Step 5: Once you have deleted ONLY THESE TWO REGISTRY KEYS, Restart PC
Step 6: Run the Setup of BRS and load the BRS Remote Station NOT the Recorder application.
