Webb County Judge Danny Valdez and the Commissioners
proclaimed “April as Head Start Month” during a
Commissioners’ Court meeting. Throughout the month,
there are numerous activities scheduled to take place in
celebration of Head Start services. I encourage all parents
and staff members to get involved and show their support
of the Head Start program.
Children will be trained on the 3rd Emergency Evacuation drill on
board the bus. This is to ensure that all children will be aware of what
to do in case of an emergency. They will be trained as to how to use
emergency exits and where and how to use the first aide kit, fire extinguisher, seat belt cutter and a two-way radio.
Start.

CONTENT AREA
The images of early childhood, reminds us that the early
years are truly learning years. Every moment is an opportunity to
learn more about the world around them. We must ensure that all
children enjoy an early childhood that prepares them to take full advantage of their education.
The Disability Content Area and the Transition Content Area
are getting ready to assist the Head Start families in the transition process. During the month of April these two Content Areas will be presenting important issues of transition. This presentation will be done
during the April Monthly Parent meetings. We encourage you as a
parent to attend.
SERVICIOS ESPECIALES
Head Start. Estas presentaciones se ofrecerán durante las juntas
del comité de sus centros. Les recomendamos a todos los padres que
asistan a la junta de su centro.
