There are two locations to dock. The town has public docks that can be reached by heading southwest bearing
right. The docks will be on the left. There is a 4 hour docking maximum that is charged per foot. Overnight
docking is also offered. Moorings are available as you pull into the harbor; raise them on V.H.F. channel 73.

Within the Greenport Harbor there is dockage available at the following:
1. Near Prestons on Greenport’s east side there are floating docks.
2. Near Claudio’s Dock, dock on either side however, pull in as far north as you can to avoid boat wake.
3. Near the Railroad dock on the west side of Greenport there is Mitchell Park Marina - 477-2200. Day stays are
$1/ft and .50¢/ft. for dinner stays from 5p.m-10p.m. Overnight slips are $3/ft.

Mattituck- Veteran’s Park is just west of James Creek, anchor off it. If you are a dockage customer of Strong’s; ask
us for a letter to be taken to the Park District so you can obtain a seasonal Beach Permit to go by car.
Southampton- Cows Neck has high sandy bluffs just west of North Sea Harbor (The entrance to our Southampton
Marina). It’s Great Fun to climb the dunes and picnic. Anchor up by entering directly in front of the sand dune! A
second anchor is helpful to secure your stern to the beach.
South Jamesport- South Jamesport Beach is 3,000 ft of shallow beach 5 minutes west of Strong’s. Anchor off shore.
Shallow water is perfect for small children. Offers a playground, snack shack, tennis, restrooms & pavilion.
New Suffolk- New Suffolk Beach, head east from Strong’s to the north of Robins Island. Pass the North Race buoy
(#3 green) and the North Race sandbar of Robins Island (2.5 mi. east of Strong’s). Enter Cutchogue Harbor; which
is the first creek entrance on the left where the buoy and rock jetty are.

Montauk Point Lighthouse - Montauk Point * Oldest operational Lighthouse in NY State, built
in 1796.
Cedar Island Lighthouse - Cedar Point Park, Easthampton. *Built in 1860 – Not operational.
The lighthouse is situated on Cedar Island, just off of Cedar Point, between the waters of
Northwest Harbor and Gardiners Bay.
Little Gull Island Lighthouse –Between Plum Island & Fishers Island in the L.I. Sound. *Built in 1869 & remains
operational.
Plum Gut Lighthouse – Plum Island, LI Sound/Gardiners Bay *Built in 1870 - No longer operational.
Orient Point Lighthouse – Orient Point’s eastern tip, Plum Gut. *Built in 1899 “The Coffee Pot” is still operational.
Long Beach Bar (Bug Light) Lighthouse- Entrance to Orient Harbor. Original lighthouse was built in 1870 and
reconstructed in 1990. The lighthouse is situated on rocks just to the west of Long Beach Point (adjacent to and
visible from Orient Beach State Park).
Horton Point Lighthouse- Southold, LI Sound. *Built in 1857. Operational and Open to the Public.
