First Release 21 november 2014 final data In 2013, 6% less investment in tangible goods Performance of enterprises by activity and size classes, Slovenia, 2013 Turnover 1.6 lower, value added 1.2% higher Turnover in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply 10% lower in 2013 In 2013, 572,552 persons employed in 126,754 enterprises in structural business statistics (enterprises in predominantly market activities) generated EUR 79,193 million of turnover. As in 2012, the majority of turnover was generated by enterprises in the activities of wholesale, retail, repair of motor vehicles (36%) and manufacturing (30%). Compared to 2012, the largest decrease in turnover was recorded in real estate activities. In electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply activities, where in 2012 the highest increase was recorded, the turnover in 2013 decreased by 10%. Value added higher by 1.2% In 2013 enterprises generated EUR 17,350 million of value added. As much as 36% of value added in all observed enterprises was generated by enterprises in manufacturing. In comparison with 2012, 2% more value added was recorded by these enterprises. The highest value added per person employed in 2013 was recorded in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply activities where it was EUR 89,970, while the lowest value added was recorded in activities of repair of computers and personal and household goods, where it was EUR 12,511. In 2013, 6% less investment in tangible goods In 2013, enterprises invested EUR 3,462 million in tangible goods, which is 6% less than in 2012. Higher increase than in 2012 was recorded by enterprises in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply activities. These enterprises generated EUR 763 million in investments or 16% more than in 2012. 35% of investment in 2013 was generated by enterprises in manufacturing; their investment decreased by 1%. Manufacturing, wholesale and retail trade and construction employ most of the persons Enterprises in manufacturing activities employed the most, i.e. 188,526 persons or 33% of all observed persons in 2013 or 1% less than a year before. In wholesale and retail trade activities 112,135 persons worked in 2013 (i.e. 20% of all persons) and 2% less than a year before. In enterprises in construction in 2013 worked 60,800 persons (i.e. 11% of all persons) and 2% less than a year before. Enterprises in wholesale and retail trade generated EUR 28,473 million of turnover, the largest share (30%) was also generated by enterprises with more than 250 persons. In enterprises in construction activities and other services activities the most (38%), of turnover was generated by enterprises with less than 10 persons employed.
