Celebration Announcements
PRICING
All announcements are $14.00 per inch. Minimum size one column,
2 inches deep. After the first two inches, increments of 1/4 inch will be
accepted and charged accordingly up to a maximum of 19 inches.
PAYMENT
The cost of the announcement is determined by the size of the photo plus
the amount of content supplied. If you choose to include your credit card,
nothing will be charged until we have reviewed the announcement with
you along with the exact cost. The sample prices you see are meant to give you
a ballpark of the cost, depending on how much information you supply to us. All
announcements must be prepaid prior to publication.
DEADLINE
Announcements are published on Saturdays. Deadlines are approximately
4-6 weeks in advance of publication. All announcements will be confirmed prior
to publication.
PHOTOGRAPHS
When including your photo, please choose a sharp close-up. The Times Union
will take care of cropping your photo to fit the announcement. Also indicate on
the form if you prefer a full length, mid-length or shoulder length style of the
couple in the photograph. We can accept photos that are black and white or color
and photo sizes that range from wallet to 8x10. Photos should be of professional
quality as we are unable to lighten dark photos or use photos that have been
printed on regular paper. Please include your name on the back of the photo.
Photos will be returned. The Times Union will not be held liable for lost photos.

TIMESUNION.COM/CELEBRATIONS
The Times Union’s online Celebrations service gives you the opportunity to
enhance your engagement announcement. It includes an online listing of the
announcement, couple profile, guest book, and photo gallery. Online Celebrations
is FREE by providing a valid e-mail address on the authorization form.
AUTHORIZATION
A completed authorization form is required for all announcements.
The form must be signed either electronically or can be downloaded, mailed
or emailed by one of the principals (future bride, future groom, parent) with an
address and daytime telephone number of one of those principals.
