Dear Ayer Families,
Thank you to all who were able to attend conferences yesterday evening or
today. A strong partnership between schools and families is essential to
help each child achieve to his/her full potential, and we appreciate your
partnership with Ayer!
We work hard and have fun at Ayer. Hopefully, you can join us for some of

For Parents of Students in 6th Grade
Please see the linked flyer for information about the upcoming 6th to 7th
grade Transition Meeting for parents on April 20th.
Applications accepted for seat in FHSD preschool Feb. 27 through
March 5
Parents and guardians of students who will be three- to five-years-old on or
before Sept. 30, 2017 can apply for a seat in Forest Hills’ preschool
program beginning Feb. 27.
FHSD uses an online lottery system for acceptance into preschool. The
lottery drawing will occur on March 6 to award seats in preschool
classes. Parents will be notified soon after of acceptance or nonacceptance into preschool. Once accepted, parents can begin registration
procedures. The program operates at Sherwood and Summit elementary
schools for all Forest Hills students. Learn more

We hope you will mark your calendar with 2 upcoming Ayer PTA
events. First, our Ayer County Fayer will be returning on Friday, February
17 from 6-9pm. Your family can enjoy festival-like games, a family fun
raffle, enjoy some music with our DJ, stop by the magic show featuring
JASON JACOBS and enjoy a chance to win a sweet treat during the cake
walk. If all this fun makes you a little hungry be sure to grab a piece of
Mio’s pizza, a box of nuggets from Chick-Fil-A or a cold snow cone from
Kona Ice at our concession stand in the Ayer cafeteria. Game tickets will
be sold during lunch the week of the festival and at the festival itself.
Second, we hope you can join us for our 3rd annual Falcon Hoopla. This is
an adult only event held on Saturday, March 25 from 7-11pm at the
Coldstream Country Club. Don’t be fooled by the venue-we promise to
keep this event casual and it includes “dinner-by-the-bite.” This evening
event promises to be a fun night out and it includes a silent & live
auction. Don’t worry- we promise to have plenty of televisions at the
Falcon Hoopla so you can catch the basketball games during March
Madness! Tickets will run $40 per person. Look for more info in our
upcoming Falcon Flyers and on Facebook. So get those babysitters lined
up as we’d love for you to join us on March 25th!

February 27 – FHSD Board of Education Meeting, 7:00pm, Anderson
Center
March 3, 2017 – 2-Hour Delay day for elementary schools. There will be
no morning latch-key. Morning kindergarten will dismiss at 1:40PM.
Afternoon kindergarten will be on a 15-minute delayed start; Bus pick-up
times for afternoon kindergarten students will be 15 minutes later than
regular pick-up times.
