Vacancies: URGENTLY NEED A VICE TREASURER (C/T 5 YEARS), Stephen will stay on until we find one, but we do need someone to take over this service position. Chair A&G (1 year c/t), Vice Chair (A&G (6 months c/t), Vice Chair Accountability (6 months c/t), Vice Chair Website (6 months c/t), Chair Hospitality (1 year c/t). Accountability (Alan) Unable to go to last month’s round of ASCs. Attended a Gordon Hospital Health & Safety meeting: we are going be moved to a Ground Floor room. Gordon Hospital would like to have a designated key holder. Reminded us that when signing in, should be with full name and telephone number, and remember to sign out. They will let us know when we will be moving. Treasurer (Stephen) See attached report All good. Closing balance of £5304.83 – and the rent has been paid in full to Friends House. Regarding safeguarding BACS transfers, Fenella has found out that other Areas/Regions use a Community Access Account which means that 2 people can have their own pin number and verify BACS transactions. She will get paperwork and look into setting this up further. Website (Nathan) – sent in report All going well. Website sales steady: sold 75 weekend tickets so far (70% increase on this time last year!). No emails in about Complimentary Therapies to date. If any Sub-Committee needs info to be included on website, please let Nathan know. Start//finish times confirmed: Friday: doors open 12.00, last speaker finishes 9.00pm. Saturday & Sunday: doors open 10.00am. Saturday : last speaker finishes 9.00pm. Sunday: finish approx. 5.00/5.30pm. F&E (Simon) We have 4 events going on. Sat 1 April: Chilli/Bingo night. £5.00. Friday 7 April: Boat Party, 10.00pm. £12.00. Sat 8 April, am: 5aside football, £20 per team. LCNA Cup. Sat 8 April, evening TBC: may have Fabric from 10.00pm – 1.00am. £15. Simon is still working with Fabric to see if this possible. We will put PI info up in toilets. F&E will liaise with Website to put info up. Tickets will be available on Website and via LCNA members. Merchandising (Lucy) Going well. Getting comparison quotes for t-shirts and hoodies. We need contributions for the Raffle. Registration (Barbara) Can get PDQ machines to take cards. Do merchandise need one? Please note: the silver bracelet which will be given with each registration is silver cloth! A-V (Suzanne) Plenty of people available to help on day. Suzanne will be getting clip on mics so the Secretary or Speaker will power them on. Putting together the visuals. Prison link up with HMP Brixton is in process of being authorized. Still need to work on appropriate equipment. Programming (Dean) Everyone confirmed. Dean will liaise with Max re printing the Programme (as we have no A&G Committee). We need copy of Guiding Principles for Traditions Workshop. Dean will liaise with Suzanne with a list of Speakers. Stewarding (Reggie) Plenty of volunteers. Will set up around Coffee Shop to make sure that people don’t go into Convention without registering. Stephen has the details for the radios. Reggie will have a key to merchandising room to enable people to store luggage. Will use raffle book of tickets to ensure no mistaken luggage identity. Once again – no smoking outside back of Friends House otherwise we will lose the venue. Literature Sales (Barney) Has volunteers to help. Barney to liaise with UK Office to order literature, they have list from last year so will advise on what we need. Programming needs 100 Basic Texts to give away. We also need to order copies of Guiding Principles, as it did not exist last year. Hospitality (Saeid) All good - nothing to report. Crèche (Max) Apologies sent. No report. AOB Dean visited Friends House – there is no suitable space to display NA Archive. Security Guard: Micky will liaise with Stephen , who has the details, and book someone. Wash Up Meeting will be Weds 17th May @ Gordon Hospital. Date to go into Programme – and people encouraged to come along. LCNA 17 Committee now meeting bi-weekly.
