OUR LOCATIONS
CQUniversity has one of the largest footprints of any university in
Australia, with more than 20 locations and plans for more underway.
This means whether you want to stay close to home or move somewhere
new, whether you prefer the bustling city life or the relaxed pace of a
regional location, we’ve got the perfect location for you.
ADELAIDE
BUNDABERG
CQUniversity Adelaide is situated to the south-west of
the city. The campus is home to The Appleton Institute, a
multidisciplinary research hub and offers a state-of-the-art
sleep laboratory as well as modern learning spaces, a library
and student recreational spaces.
CQUniversity Bundaberg is located on a green, tree-studded
23-hectare site on Bundaberg’s southern outskirts, adjacent
to the airport and only six kilometres from the city centre.
CQUniversity Bundaberg is a modern, purpose‑built campus,
offering students new and innovative buildings and facilities.
BILOELA
CQUniversity Biloela Study Centre provides distance
students in Central Queensland with a place to call home.
Located 120 km inland from the port city of Gladstone,
CQUniversity’s Biloela Study Centre provides a number of
facilities like video conferencing and computer rooms, as well
as a quiet place to study or meet with other students.
BRISBANE
CQUniversity Brisbane, located in the heart of the CBD, is
a great place to study. The campus hosts modern facilities
and will offer you a fresh learning environment from
which to pursue your academic interests. The campus
is student focused, with areas dedicated to student
relaxation, providing a great space for you to mingle with
friends over lunch or catch-up between classes.
CAIRNS
Located right in the middle of the vibrant Cairns CBD, our
new multi-million dollar campus boasts state‑of‑the‑art
resources and modern study and recreational spaces.
With easy access to the city’s shops, bars and cafés, the
campus provides the opportunity to study amongst the
delights of tropical Far North Queensland.
EMERALD
CQUniversity Emerald is located on the Capricorn Highway,
west of Rockhampton, and is popular with students studying
trade‑based apprenticeships. With Emerald known as a key
base for the agricultural and resources sectors, CQUniversity
Emerald offers real world experience and has close links to
industry partners in regional Queensland.

PERTH
Students can choose to study at two convenient Gladstone
locations – CQUniversity Gladstone City and CQUniversity
Gladstone Marina. The city campus, in the CBD of the port
city, has excellent student amenities and a reputation for
developing customised joint-venture programs to meet
industry and community needs. Meanwhile, with its
scenic location and strong ties with industry, CQUniversity
Gladstone Marina is both an attractive place to study and a
powerhouse of innovative research.
CQUniversity has expanded its commitment to West
Australians with the opening of our Perth campus in
February 2017. Located in the CBD of the vibrant Western
Australian capital, with easy access to public transport,
CQUniversity Perth offers modern learning and teaching
facilities, laboratories and student spaces.
ROCKHAMPTON
Two campus locations are available in Rockhampton –
the vibrant city campus including a training restaurant
and beauty and hairdressing salons, and a sprawling
Rockhampton North campus boasting state-of-the-art
facilities including a lively commercial precinct, and
modern allied health, engineering and library facilities.
Also on offer is the university gym, pool and community
sports centre, bookshop, art gallery, Birdcage Bar and
onsite accommodation.
MACKAY
With two campus locations in Mackay, CQUniversity
caters to all students. Located in the heart of the
Mackay CBD, CQUniversity Mackay City offers a
convenient location, student refectory, training restaurant,
hairdressing and beauty salons, and more. The spacious
CQUniversity Mackay Ooralea includes a $46 million
trades training centre, modern learning and teaching
spaces, recording studios, student accommodation, a
bookshop, refectory, library, and more.
MELBOURNE
Located in the city, CQUniversity Melbourne is adjacent to
Southern Cross Station, and easily accessible by a number of
tram routes. Boasting high-tech equipment and laboratories
alongside student recreational areas and a library,
CQUniversity Melbourne provides the perfect place to study
right in the heart of the city.
NOOSA
Students at CQUniversity Noosa will benefit from studying
in a coastal community well known around Australia and the
world for its surfing, beaches, pristine river, fine restaurants
and national parks. The campus offers modern facilities
and surrounds including clinical nursing laboratories, library
and student resource centre facilities, state-of-the-art
collaborative learning spaces and is home to the Learning
and Teaching Education Research Centre (LTERC).
SYDNEY
CQUniversity Sydney is located on Kent Street in the heart
of the city, close to Town Hall Station. On campus there are
many study areas, making it very conducive for self study
and group work. You can enjoy the diverse and vibrant
campus life or take a short stroll to downtown amenities and
attractions such as Darling Harbour.
TOWNSVILLE
Located in the thriving CBD, CQUniversity’s Townsville
campus is situated close to cafés, accommodation and
a cinema providing great entertainment and recreational
options alongside our contemporary resources and study
spaces for on campus and distance students.

CQUniversity offers a number of Partner Study Hubs,
where students can drop in to utilise Internet and computing
facilities and access information about CQUniversity
courses and services. Operated in collaboration with local
organisations, our friendly staff at these locations can help

SPORT
As well as the modern fitness facilities and sporting
areas available at our larger campuses, CQUniversity also
presents the annual Chancellor’s Cup competition which
sees athletes from across the CQUniversity footprint come
together to compete in a range of sports while representing
their campus. In 2017 CQUniversity will proudly host the
Northern Uni Games.

We support our distance students with numerous

The cost of a course varies depending on what you are

financial support programs including VET Student Loans,

SKILLS FOR EDUCATION PREPARATORY
STUDIES (STEPS)
STEPS is designed to help you if you are returning to study
or work after some time away, need to study prerequisite
subjects for entry into your chosen degree, or need some
additional support to gain the confidence and skills to
successfully enter and undertake university study. For more

TERTIARY ENTRY PROGRAM (TEP)
TEP is an enabling course designed to cater to students
who identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
person. TEP can assist you to gain the skills, knowledge
and confidence to undertake university study. For more

CQUENGLISH
Our English language courses help you gain the skills and
confidence for everyday English conversations and academic

SKILLS FOR EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT
(SEE) PROGRAM
The SEE Program is a national training program providing
vocationally oriented training for eligible job seekers (aged
15 - 64). The program enables job seekers to participate
more effectively in training or in the labour force by
improving their language, literacy and numeracy skills.
The SEE Program is funded by the Australian Government
Department of Education and Training. CQUniversity delivers
the SEE Program on behalf of TAFE Queensland in Mackay

ADULT MIGRANT ENGLISH PROGRAM (AMEP)
AMEP provides up to 510 hours of free English language
tuition to eligible migrants from the skilled, family and
humanitarian visa streams, to help them learn basic English
to assist with their settlement in Australia. AMEP is funded
by the Australian Government Department of Education and
Training. In Queensland, AMEP is delivered through TAFE
Queensland. AMEP is provided by CQUniversity on behalf
of TAFE Queensland in Rockhampton, Mackay, Gladstone,

APPRENTICESHIPS AND TRAINEESHIPS
The steps to becoming an apprentice or trainee are
different to becoming a student at university or TAFE.
Generally, you will be required to find an employer
who is willing to employ you as an apprentice or

Australia provider) may arrange for you to undertake
