Open ex20-7 and save the file as ex20-8. 3. Open DesignCenter. Use DesignCenter to drag and drop the DoorTag block from the ex14-1 drawing file, and the WinTag block from the ex14-4 drawing file. 4. Confirm the annotation scale is set to 1/4″ = 1′-0″. You will use this scale, equal to a scale factor of 48, to insert annotative door blocks, window blocks, and room tags. 5. Use the A-DOOR-IDEN layer to place the DoorTag block for all of the doors in the floor plan. Be sure to enter values for all attributes as specified in the schedules. 6. Use the A-GLAZ-IDEN layer to place the WinTag block for all of the windows in the floor plan. Be sure to enter values for all attributes as specified in the schedules. 7. Use the following steps to add room tags: A. Set the ATTDIA system variable to 1 and set the 0 layer current. B. Use attributes to create a room tag similar to the room name attribute shown. Make the attributes annotative. C. Create an annotative block from the attributes named RoomTag. D. Erase all of the room name text in the drawing and insert the RoomTag block for each room. Insert the blocks on the A-FLOR-IDEN layer. 8. Add all other notes, such as appliance labels, on the A-ANNO-NOTE layer. (Continued) Copyright by Goodheart-Willcox Co., Inc.
