A Bottle Or Two Celebrates Grand Opening
A Bottle Or Two will hold its grand opening celebration
with special events during the month of May
culminating with an exclusive wine tasting on May 22, 2010!
A Bottle Or Two, located in the convenient Enyart Square Shopping Center at 11920 Montgomery
Road, will celebrate the Grand Opening of its first location with special events including tastings with
wine makers and an exclusive wine tasting with Master Sommelier Ron Edwards.
A Bottle Or Two is designed to be a wine shopping experience like no other. The concept and design
are the inspiration of owner David Pustinger, whose desire was to “create an environment and feel for a
store where I would want to shop for wine.” The store carries wine, craft beer, wine accessories, and
gourmet foods including olives, spread, cheeses, crackers, and an assortment of chocolates.
Pustinger says, “Whether they know a little or a lot about wine we want customers to feel comfortable
and have an opportunity to learn.” That was the inspiration behind the adoption of cutting edge
technology and other shopping aids which include tasting notes and suggested food pairings clearly
displayed on the shelf with each bottle. Wine shopping is made simple and convenient utilizing an in1 of 3
store wine adviser kiosk and a similar online system where customers can soon place an order for instore pickup. An electronic mailing list offers a monthly newsletter, bi-monthly product, and weekly
tasting updates. Pustinger has also put together a knowledgeable and friendly staff featuring two
educated Sommeliers.
Tastings are an essential aspect of life at A Bottle Or Two. With advanced wine preservation systems,
the store keeps 15 wines available for tasting every day and holds regular half-price happy hours. To
ensure the highest level of appreciation for wine and food pairing, scheduled formal tastings include
gourmet chef-prepared hors d'oeuvres. The formal tastings offer the perfect opportunity for the casual
and serious wine drinker alike, and have a focus of making wine tasting informative and fun.
Additionally, the store has a clean design with custom fixtures and ample space for hosting tastings and
special events. There is a tasting bar area with comfortable chairs for relaxing with friends or
discussing wine with the staff while tasting any of the 15 wines always available from the preservation
units.
The focus on quality over quantity doesn't end with wine. A Bottle Or Two carries a wide selection of
the finest craft and imported beer, and hosts informal beer tastings offering customers an opportunity to
experience the range of flavors beer can provide. A large selection of beer is always available to
purchase by the bottle, and customers can experiment with unfamiliar names by making a “Mix 6
Pack.”
A spacious event area with a state of the art presentation system provides a perfect environment for
business meetings, sales presentations, book clubs, meet ups, or even a special occasion for two. The
staff is more than happy to work with customers to set up a custom tasting.
A Bottle Or Two is open Monday from 2pm to 8pm and Tuesday thru Saturday from 10am to 8pm.
Closed Sunday. For more information please call 513.583.8163 or visit their website at

Owner Information
A resident of Cincinnati since 1994, A Bottle or Two owner David Pustinger has always wanted to
leave his mark in his adopted home. Originally a native of small town Pennsylvania, Pustinger moved
to Cincinnati to pursue his law degree, then moved on as a marketing executive with a local insurance
company. He became one of the earliest casualties of the recent recession when his company was
bought out by a multinational conglomerate. Never one to sit around for long and not wanting to uproot
his family, Pustinger decided to embark on a new adventure away from corporate America.
After deciding to take the great leap of faith away from the corporate world, Pustinger spent the next
several months exploring a myriad of small business opportunities. He and his wife had always been
avid wine drinkers, and together had developed a special passion for small vineyard wines that could be
hard to find. While he found many wine stores in the Cincinnati area he liked, he often felt there was

something missing. Being a savvy businessman know for his attention to detail, he took note of the
continued growth of wine and beer sales in spite of the poor economic climate.
After deciding on a wine store that would also include hard-to-find craft beers and gourmet foods, what
Pustinger needed next was a concept. He spent hours laying the groundwork for the store. He spoke
with local wine professionals and wine groups, as well as casual wine drinkers amongst his friends and
family. The conclusion he came to was the wine world was in need of something completely new. One
of the common themes that developed in his research was that people found buying wine to be
intimidating and confusing. He decided that his store, now beginning to take shape as “A Bottle or
Two,” should utilize technology to make wine shopping easier for the consumer. The next stop was
putting all this into play.
After successfully obtaining an on-premise liquor permit and settling on a prime location in Symmes
Township, Pustinger was ready to begin the arduous process of turning his vision into reality. He spared
no expense in making sure A Bottle or Two would be a step above the competition. He worked with
some of the top consultants in the industry, with varying areas of expertise including architecture, retail
design, a craft beer expert, and most importantly, a Master Sommelier to help select the wine! In the
spirit of adding fun and removing the intimidation from the wine buying process, he bought wine
preservation units so that customers could taste as they shopped and installed a wine adviser software
system that would allow customers to virtually tour the inventory of the store either from home or in
the store. As the store began to take shape, it was evident that A Bottle or Two was truly going to
revolutionize the way people shop for wine!
After putting on the finishing touches, which included a top-notch website and assembling a
knowledgeable and experienced staff, Pustinger opened the doors to the public on Monday, November
23. The store quickly developed a following in the community, and received acclaim from several local
wine blogs. The initial feedback has been exactly what Pustinger had hoped for; People liked the stores
eclectic inventory, found it made shopping for wine easy and fun, and loved the ability to taste while
they shopped. Since opening the store has flourished, adding a selection of gourmet foods that are
perfect for pairing, implementing a happy hour tasting schedule that has become very popular with
those looking for more than a quick afternoon buzz, and starting a series of formal wine tastings that
have received high acclaim from patrons.
Despite the early success, Pustinger hasn't slowed down. He recently earned his Introductory
Sommelier Certification, and is constantly working to improve the store and work within the
community to promote great wine!
