Circumstances, decisions, and the future
Jolene was excited when she found out she was pregnant. She had been through some tough things in the last
few years and was ready to make changes for a better future. She started taking parenting classes, and shared
how she was looking forward to having another baby.
Fast forward a few weeks, Jolene called to see if she could come in to talk. Her circumstances had changed
drastically and she now had an abortion scheduled and was planning to terminate. “I just can’t do this. It’s too
much.” Jolene just sat shaking her head and crying as she was talking through her options. Abortion seemed like
an easy solution. Having placed a child for adoption before, she was familiar with how difficult that choice is.
Knowing that it was in the best interest for that baby, she may have to consider adoption for this child as well.
God helped her go through that and she knew He was always there for her.
A member of Jolene’s family asked her to reconsider, and not go for the abortion. Jolene came in for an
ultrasound and saw her baby’s heartbeat on the ultrasound. “I know I shouldn’t even consider abortion, but I just
don’t know what to do.” She wanted Mike, the father of the baby, to see the ultrasound.
The next day, instead of going for the abortion, she came to Tender Care. Her baby had
tiny limbs that weren’t visible the day before. Mike saw with his own eyes his tiny baby
moving on the screen. It made it so much more real to him. It was a baby.
Jolene is now thinking about parenting. Please continue to pray for her and all the other
young women experiencing similar situations.
Ann Marie Ruppert has been with Tender Care for 15 years.
Ann has impacted the lives of many woman and children.
Over the years Ann Marie has served as a volunteer, office
manager, caregiver and sonographer at the Hanover center.
As Ann enters a new season of her life, she will be missed
greatly at Tender Care. Her bright smile and positive
attitude are unforgettable. She extends grace and kindness
to everyone she meets.
We wish her success and happiness in her future
endeavors, as she works with her sisters to carry on their
mother’s legacy in honoring God.
Be beautiful inside, in your hearts, with the lasting charm of a gentle and
quiet spirit that is so precious to God. I Peter 3:4

Your prayers are changing the lives of young people.
Recently, four classes of 9th graders learned about
the dangers of pornography. Not only is this form
of entertainment commonly accepted as a safe and
reasonably healthy way to control sex drive, but
studies show that pornography is how most teens
learn about sex. Using excellent resources on the
"Fight the New Drug" web site, students learned that pornography causes the
brain to form addictive pathways and it destroys relationships by fabricating
love.
Engaged students met after class sharing sad stories of loved ones caught in
pornography and even confessed the addiction.
Please keep praying for our teens and pray for us as we speak the true in love.
