Media Credentials
Working media in need of credentials for all University
of Rhode Island home games can be obtained by contacting
Mike Laprey, Assistant AD/Sports Communications. Credential
requests should be made within 24 hours of the contest
and can be made via email ([email protected]) or via fax
(401.874.5354). All media credentials will be available at the MEDIA WILL
CALL table, located through the doors of the loading dock at
ther Ryan Center. Credentials are for WORKING MEDIA only.
Per NCAA regulations, accredited photographers are not
allowed in the team bench areas.

Radio Information
In accordance with Atlantic 10 Conference policy, three
telephone lines or ISDN lines are available for the visiting
team’s official radio station at no charge to league opponents.
Additional telephone lines are available at $75 per line
by contacting Mike Laprey. The fee should be paid in advance
unless other arrangements have been made. Due to signage
commitments, visiting radio stations are not permitted to
display signage or banners at their broadcast location.
Rams on Television
URI men’s basketball games are televised nationally,
and regionally. National outlets include the ESPN family of
networks and CBS College Sports. Regionally and locally,
Cox Sports Television is the home of Rhody basketball, as Don
Coyne and former Ram standout Abu Bakr call the action.
Rams on the Radio
Rhode Island fans throughout southern New England can
follow the Rams live on the radio. 920 WHJJ AM will again
serve as the Rams’ flagship station, broadcasting a schedule
of Rhode Island football, men’s basketball and women’s
basketball games. Games can also be heard on WJZS 99.3 FM.
Steve McDonald will begin his 14th season of handling the
primary play-by-play duties for the Rams. He will be joined
by Don Kaull, who is in his 21st season of providing color for
the radio broadcasts. Kaull, a Newport, R.I. native, played
basketball for Rhode Island from 1965-67 and is a member of
the University's Athletic Hall of Fame.

Photographers are limited to working in the designated
areas at each baseline, unless other arrangements have been made with the Sports Communications Office.

be accessed at GoRhody.com. GoRhody.com contains the
latest breaking scores, stories, and statistics for all of URI’s
athletics programs. Ram fans unable to attend the games live
can access a live video feed via Rhody All-Access (subscription
service) or via two free options: Gametracker or an internet
feed of the radio broadcast, via Yahoo! Sports.
Media Parking
Windshield media parking passes are available for outlets
covering the Rams throughout the 2008-09 season, and media
parking will be provided based upon request. The media
parking lot is located behind the Ryan Center, off Plains Rd.
Getting to the University of Rhode Island
Driving from the North:
Follow Interstate 95 South to Exit 9 (Route 4 South). Route 4
South merges with Route 1 South. Continue on Route 1 South
and turn right on to Route 138 West. Travel five miles on Route
138 West and pass the main entrance of the University of
Rhode Island. Turn right at the traffic signal at the intersection
with Plains Road. Follow Plains Road to the Ryan Center, which
is located on the right.
Driving from the South:
Follow Interstate 95 North to Exit 3A (Route 138 East). Follow
for eight miles and make a left turn on to Plains Road at the
traffic signal. Follow Plains Road to the Ryan Center which is
located on the right.
